At the age of sixteen, Rhain suffered from a powerful curse that fed on his flesh every day. The people called him a monster. A faceless King. An ugly beast.
People were repulsed by his face. Some said that if you looked at him, you would be cursed and die instantly. He began disguising his decaying self, but even that didn’t stop the rumors from spreading.
Some called him the Faceless King. Others called him the powerful Vampire King, Rhain.
Whenever something bad happened while he was around, people believed it was his curse was affecting them. And no matter how many rumors spread, he remained the most powerful King — not even the werewolves, their rivals, could defeat him.
He had won countless wars and killed many werewolf Alphas. He was a vampire feared by everyone.
At a young age, Rhain believed he would never live past thirty because of the curse he carried.
Now known as the Cursed King, he must do everything he can to free himself from it. In order to be free, he ends up with a young girl, Harley — the daughter of an Alpha werewolf — whom the Moon Goddess bonded to him as his mate.
Rhain would rather do anything than be with a werewolf, but when the curse began worsening, he was forced to kidnap her and take her to his country. He intended to use her to break the curse, just like the prophecy said.
Rhain could never show his real face without someone dying from extreme fear — except for Harley, who wasn’t repulsed when she first saw him. She made him believe she loved his body, even though the curse had eaten away eighty percent of it, leaving him completely rotten.
But is this another punishment from the Moon Goddess? Because the more time he spends with Harley, the more he begins to question whether killing her to break the curse is truly what he wants.
