Invert follows the lives of two young men, both named Gon Hayashi, yet living entirely different lives. One, Gon from District 11, a poor and struggling 17-year-old, works tirelessly to care for his sick mother and distant father. His life is filled with hardships, and every day is a battle for survival. On the other hand, there’s the rich Gon, who leads a life of luxury, born into a wealthy family, yet is surrounded by a cold, distant world filled with superficial relationships and hollow expectations. One fateful night, an earthquake shakes their worlds and causes a strange and inexplicable event—both Gons swap bodies. The poor Gon finds himself thrust into the high-society world of the rich Gon, with all its wealth and pressure. Meanwhile, the rich Gon, now in the poor Gon’s life, is forced to experience poverty and the struggles of survival he had never known.
