Unfortunately, the task of building a home wasn't as simple as Xuefeng initially thought. He tried picturing a house, thinking it would appear before him, but he quickly realized that even magic-like imagination had rules.
The first structure he summoned looked decent enough at a glance, but as he stepped inside, it began to creak ominously. Moments later, a wall buckled, the roof caved in, and the whole thing collapsed like a house of cards. He blinked in disbelief, standing amid a pile of imaginary rubble.
It wasn't as simple as thinking "make a house." He had to consider load-bearing walls, thicknesses, material durability, internal balance and even window placement. There were so many architectural nuances he'd never thought about until now, and after his second failed attempt, frustration set in.
He had no choice but to pivot into a different idea.
