Chapter 47 - Assassin [DeadShot] (Part 1)

It was now morning!

In a very luxurious room in the most prestigious hotel in Dark Bliss City, Alvin had just returned from the One piece world. When he woke up, despite being covered in black smelly substance, he ignored it and focused on the contract beast rune located in the depths of his soul.

Suddenly, the rune shone brightly causing a dark hole to open behind him. A white catlike creature immediately jumped out of it and landed on the bed. The hike closed immediately after that.

Looking at Byakko who had made it to the real world, Alvin signed in relief. Even though he had seen the capability to travel with him in Byakko's innate talent, he had still been anxious until now.

With Byakko's presence, he could now confidently proceed to the next part of his plan. He then proceeded to the bathroom and cleaned himself before turning on his new tablet PC to check whether there was something new on the forums for the 'Pirate King' world like he usually does.

This world had been online for a couple of days now and some players had finally gotten themselves admitted into the Navy. They had expected big benefits by joining such a big organization in the One Piece world but the reality made them have a very big disappointment.

Because the starting line of players in this world was the weakest on the food chain in the one piece world, even if they upgraded to Level 1 or 2, they would still be weaklings. Because of this, when they were recruited into the Navy, they started off at the lowest levels as Odd Job Recruits.

This made a lot of them distressed because while others were busy strengthening themselves through hunting of low level creatures, they were wasting time doing odd jobs at marine bases.

Apart from that, the average levels of players were now between Level 1 and 2 with some players even reaching Level 3. So far, he hadn't heard of a Level 4 player. He could be sure that the children of the big noble families who had better foundations had reached better levels.

…..

After checking those, he proceeded to open the private website of the Dark Widow Mercenary Group. He had gotten the private web address off the attacker who he had interrogated back in Freedom City. He had also made clear the steps he had to go through to register as an assassin of Dark Widow Mercenary Group.

He went on the designated Dark Widow Mercenary Group website, and immediately after opening up the page, a garbage adult web page showed up. Alvin did not mind since he had already been informed of this. he logged in with a special account name and password that he had prepared gotten from the young man he interrogated. The web page immediately changed into the special private website of Dark Widow Mercenary Group. This was the page for the other side of this Mercenary Group; the huge Assassination Organization!

Alvin then requested for a new account with the username [Deadshot]! This was his alias back when he stood at the top of the dark world in his previous life and he would continue it here.

While waiting for his request to be accepted, he let to the lobby of the hotel and got himself a sumptuous breakfast together with Byakko before returning to his room.

By the time he returned, his application had been accepted. He then paid the required £ 30,000 registration fee and his new account was accepted. He was now a Rank C Assassin of the Dark Widow Mercenary Group.

In the Dark Widow Mercenary Group, Assassins were divided into two main groups. Core Assassins and Outer Door Assassins. Core Assassins were those specially trained by the Dark Widow Mercenary Group and had special means by which they are controlled. The Outer Door Assassins on the other hand are outsiders who enter the Dark Widow Mercenary Group as Assassins and only wok on contract bases. Outer door Assassins were divided into the ranks of S, A, B and C according to strength and type of missions that had been previously completed.

To keep their membership, Outer Door Assassins are required to fulfill at least one mission per month.

After acquiring his new identity, Alvin opened the mission board to check if there was any mission that he could complete with his current skillset.

According to the information he received when he created his account, as a Rank C assassin, he could only accept C Rank Missions. Like the Assassins, assassination missions were divided into four ranks.

C rank missions — £ 100,000 to £ 900,000!

B rank missions —£ 1,000,000 to £ 9,900,000 missions.

A rank missions — £ 10,000,000 to £ 99,900,000 missions.

S rank missions — £ 100,000,000 or £ higher missions.

Each assassin could only accept missions their rank and below. For example, a C rank assassin could only accept C rank missions, and an S rank assassin could accept any mission. An assassin's rank and their actual strength were unrelated, and only corresponded to the missions they could undertake.

After completing ten C rank missions, a C rank assassin would be promoted to B rank. After completing ten B rank missions, a B rank assassin would be promoted to A rank. After completing ten A rank missions, an A rank assassin would be promoted to S rank.

These were the ranks used in to divide the Outer Door Assassins. For the sake of efficiency, as well as reinforcing the competition between Assassins, this system was created.

"I currently need to complete ten C rank, ten B rank, and ten A rank missions. Only like this would I meet the requirements to accept this S rank mission. However, missions aren't always available, especially the higher ranked ones. It seems like there are only six 'A' ranked missions available, and they are all currently being carried out." Alvin understood that it would be very difficult to upgrade to S Rank. Even though high ranks doesn't necessarily mean high strength it is true in most cases since targets with high bounties usually have high strength or high political or social positions.

After looking through a number of C Rank missions, he chose 1 mission with a bounty of £ 250,000! After looking through the information provided on the target, he knew that he was more than equipped to execute this mission.
