Laz wasn't the first one awake, but he also wasn't the last. A strong scent of coffee and bacon permeated the air, spreading the distinct smell of frying pork throughout the pent house. Laz thought that someone had ordered breakfast until he raised his head and looked out the double glass doors to see several figures moving around in the kitchen.
Rising slowly, Laz noticed that Celes and Nora were still sleeping, along with Malene, Famine, Pestilence, War Vivi, and Lyssa. Laz went into the huge bathroom to clean himself up with a quick shower before throwing on a silk robe and following the smell to the kitchen area.
Ruby and Leona were making breakfast while Death and Kennedy sat at a huge table with Jill. Both had a cup of coffee in their hands while Jill was drinking some orange juice while talking to the two older women.
Laz didn't intrude on their conversation but he saw smiles from all of them as he walked past, giving each of them a quick kiss as he passed by.
