I left Earth, and then Midgard. I flew in space using my dragon form. I didn't know before that I was capable of such a thing, and I wouldn't have attempted to do it under normal circumstances. However, as I said, I wasn't exactly thinking clearly.
The victims of my anger were the poor, deserted, and uninhabited planets. Even though I was angry, I wasn't that clouded that I would go destroy inhabited planets. So, my target became the deserted ones, which crumbled to mere rubble that drifted in space.
Two months later.
I was still angry, but it had been reduced to a very small degree. The anger dissipated like it was nothing, but I was unwilling to let it go. Somehow, I managed to condense my anger into black balls that were the size of half a person each. These balls were put into my bag of holding to be used later. If I absorbed a bit of anger from them in a hopeless battle, I would be able to activate the Blood World again.
Yes, that's right, I noticed something about this strange technique of mine. It was created when I was extremely angry, so if I wished to trigger it when I am calm, it is impossible. I have to be angry.
After most of my anger was sealed away, I was able to think clearly again. I didn't regret anything that I did to Emperor Sun; he deserved every bit of it. And the Grey Lotus was going to pay a very nice price too.
However, at the very moment that I cleared up, I heard Richard's voice in my head. Apparently, he had been trying to contact me during those two months.
"Orion?" he asked. It was clear that he was trying to cautiously approach me without deteriorating the situation even more.
"What do you want?" I replied coldly.
"Oh, finally, I was starting to think that something happened to you!"
"What. Do. You. Want?" I repeated with an even colder tone.
"I want you to come back."
"And?"
"We have to talk."
"What is there to talk about?"
"Look, I know that you partially blame me for Tulip's death. But we need to talk."
"Yes, I do blame you for her death. Tell me, am I wrong in doing that?"
"Yes, because you do not know the entire story."
"Oh, I imagine you have already fabricated a suitable story to cover for" -a swoosh and I appeared in Richard's room-"your faults!"
I realized that he had teleported me to the Mansion of Night. I looked at him dead in the eye and said, "I didn't agree to come back."
"We need to talk," he replied calmly from his throne.
"I said I didn't agree to come back. What right do you think you have to bring me back against my will?"
"I am your true self; that's all I need."
"And that makes you think that you can do with me whatever you want?"
"Are you looking for a fight?"
"Yes!"
"You are not my match," he stated while shaking his head.
"Oh, you think so?" And just when I was about to absorb some of the anger essence I had stored to use the Blood World, Richard said, "Listen to the story first; if you are still not convinced, you can use your technique. Do we have a deal?"
I sighed and conceded. While sitting down in the nearby chair, I replied, "Fine!"
"First of all, have you checked your cultivation?"
"Peak of the Sovereign stage."
"Yes, quite strange, isn't it?"
"Yes."
"Aren't you a little bit curious about how you reached this level of cultivation?"
"No." That was a lie. I was interested.
"I'm going to explain, in any case. I once heard that there is a way of cultivating that raises the level of power through feelings."
"Internal cultivation."
"Yes, that is its name. I believe that you do not need to cultivate using the normal methods anymore. Just the experience of life will raise your power eventually. So, the more you experience, and the more feelings and emotions you experience, the more powerful you will become."
"Okay."
"I really do not know how you can still be uninterested in such a thing."
"Are you going to start your explanation or not? My patience has limits!"
"Very well, I shall start." He took a deep breath.
"Once upon a time..."
