The search started. It was quite a long one, to be honest. Last time I headed out of the mansion, I had specific locations to go to. However, this time I only have the general direction.
It would have also been a boring journey if I did not have Zi with me. As much as I hate to admit it, Pangu can be missed; well, partially missed. I do not miss the constant blabbering at all.
It took about a whole month to narrow the search to two precise areas in my country of birth. One was in the utmost north, and the other was in the utmost south. We went to the one in the south first. I looked at the village from the top of a mountain and said, "Well, this sure brings a lot of memories..."
"You have been to this place before, Boss?" Zi asked.
"Yep, I am from this village!"
"Woah! So cool! Will you show me where you used to play when you were a kid?"
"Hahaha, yeah, of course I will, little buddy," I replied, but immediately frowned and continued, "However, we will have to take care of our unwanted visitor first..."
I turned my body backwards to see a big, cloaked man standing there like a statue. Only the long red beard could be seen from his face.
"Thor!" I exclaimed, "What an unpleasant surprise! To what do I owe this displeasure?"
"Ice Lord!" Thor replied. "I have orders from Odin the Allfather. You are to abandon your search for the Underworld. The only realm of the dead is Helheim, so if you want to reincarnate someone, you have to do it there!"
"Funny, because I recall that Helheim doesn't reincarnate people."
"True, it doesn't. But the Allfather is willing to make an exception for you."
"And what does he want in return?"
"Forsake your loyalty to the Mansion of Night and pledge yourself to the Allfather. When you do that, he will grant your wish."
"Do you know what's funny? I'm not sure which one is more hilarious than the other. The fact that Odin has the audacity to give me orders, or that he wants me to pledge loyalty to a second-rate power and forsake the top-tier organization.
"Thanks for the offer, but no. Go tell your father to bugger off and know his place!"
I turned around and started walking down the mountain when Thor cast his cloak aside and took the hammer that was hidden beneath it.
"I wasn't giving you an option. They were orders!" Thor shouted.
I stopped walking and said without turning back, "You might want to think about it, Thor. I haven't been in what you may call a good mood lately. So, get lost. This is your first and last warning."
Thor remained unmoved. I sighed and said, "I guess that's a no. Fine! Remember that this is your own choice; don't regret it later, because it will be too late for that!"
I transformed into the Quasi-Dragon form. Two horns grew from the scalp of my head. My wings and tail sprouted from my back while my skin turned into light blue scales.
Thor is a powerful enemy, and I have no idea if I will be able to beat him in this state. If Pangu wasn't sleeping, I would have already fused with him. The same thing applies to the sword. Because he remains asleep, the sword would not be as potent and as powerful.
I extended my hand and waited. Instantly, ice started gathering in my hand, forming the shape of a sword, with the right weight, length, and balance. I looked at Thor and said, "This is the most powerful state I could be in. As for the Blood World, it would be a waste of condensed anger to use it on you. So, Thor, are you ready?"
