"Spawns?" she asked. "Dead," I replied, and I could see the surprise in her pain-filled eyes before it was replaced with a relief.
"Your condition is bad," I informed, and a mirthless pain-filled smile appeared on her face.
"Can you do anything about it?" she asked, looking at me with all the hope in the world. "It wouldn't have been a problem if I had my laws, but without it, I would need to use a few things, I have."
"I do not have complete confidence in them working or working without leaving any permanent damage," I replied.
"Means you have a way?" he asked with the sparks of hope, turning into the blazing lights. "Yes, but as I had said, it is extremely risky," I replied.
