For anyone who's unemployed and wants to get a job, treat the application process like a full time job. Really sit down and spend 8 hours a day or more, just refining and sending out applications. You can also spend the time preparing for interviews.
Once you've optimized the process, you will be able to send out a decent amount of applications within an hour and you'll soon have sent out hundreds if not thousands of applications.
At that point it's almost impossible to not get a job.
