The door clicked shut behind Emily like the end of a chapter no one was ready for.
For a few seconds, nobody moved.

He offered her a crooked, sheepish grin. "We'll talk later, yeah?"
Li Na gave a faint nod, her pulse still catching up with the room. "Sure. If you're all here for the CEO… he should be free after the call we're almost done with our discussion." Li Na still has one to ask before she take her from Lu Jianjun.
She nodded toward the waiting cluster of execs down the hallway, who looked more like anxious schoolchildren than corporate brass. The moment the words left her mouth, every head turned to Lu Jun-hui, clearly waiting for him to lead the charge into the lion's den.
