Chapter 89 - Chapter 89

Kara and Raven entered Donna's room, their footsteps soft as they approached the Amazonian woman. Donna had just stepped out of the bath, wearing nothing but a robe that barely brushed her knees. Her wet hair cascaded down her back, and she still had that natural glow that seemed to radiate from her. Donna had the blessing of eternal beauty, a gift that made it nearly impossible to tell that she had once been a mother. Even with the weight of her past, she still carried herself with grace and strength.

"Good afternoon, Donna," Raven greeted, a smile curving her lips. "I hope you enjoyed last night."

Donna blinked at her, settling onto the edge of the bed as she wiped a few stray droplets of water from her skin. "Good afternoon, girls," she replied, her voice warm but laced with curiosity. "It was an interesting night. But tell me, did you put something in the food?"

Raven and Kara exchanged knowing glances. Kara, her posture confident and unbothered, spoke with a calm authority. "No, someone else was responsible for that, but it wasn't in the food. It was something around us, in the air."

Donna's brow furrowed slightly as she considered Kara's words. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to the situation than she was being told, but she didn't press for details. Instead, she shifted her focus back to the conversation at hand.

"I see." Donna leaned back against the headboard of the bed, folding her arms across her chest as she looked at the two women, still uncertain about what exactly they wanted. "So, you're here to talk about finding the culprit, then?"

Kara shook her head slowly. "No, we're not here for that. We're here to ask about what you did last night." Her tone was firm, but there was a teasing edge to it as she let her eyes sweep over Donna, from the top of her head to her feet. The Amazonian beauty before them was undeniable. Donna had lived centuries, but she still looked as youthful as ever.

"It must have been really fun, dancing on the bed like that," Raven added, her smile knowing, her eyes twinkling with a mischievous glint. It was clear that she knew exactly what had happened, and she was waiting for Donna to admit it.

Donna blinked, caught off guard by the words. "I don't understand what you mean," she stammered, her usual composure slipping for a moment.

Raven leaned forward slightly, her smile widening. "Donna, stop acting." Her voice turned more serious, and the air in the room grew heavier. "We already know you were part of the orgy last night. Now, tell us, were there other women besides you?"

Kara's tone hardened as she spoke, her eyes narrowing in a way that froze Donna in place. The warmth in the room seemed to evaporate as Kara's glare cut through the air like a blade. It was like Donna had been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. Her heart began to race, her breath catching in her chest as guilt washed over her in waves.

"I'm so sorry, girls," Donna whispered, her voice trembling with the weight of her confession. "You know this wasn't on purpose. I never intended to destroy anyone's family."

Kara's expression softened, and she walked over to Donna, sitting beside her on the bed. She placed a gentle hand on Donna's shoulder, her touch comforting and familiar. "Sigh... we understand, Donna. It's not your fault."

Donna looked up at Kara, her eyes filled with remorse. She had suffered so much, and everyone knew the depths of her pain. Seeing her like this, wracked with guilt, was a reminder of the trials she had been through. Kara, Raven, and the others had witnessed Donna's struggles, and they could feel the emotional toll this had taken on her.

"Are you really okay with it?" Donna asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she turned to Raven for reassurance.

Raven smiled warmly, her usual sarcastic edge gone. "Come on, Donna, we're all adults here, not kids. We're friends too. Blaming you for something outside of your control would be unfair." She placed a reassuring hand on Donna's, offering a sense of calm. "But, we'd appreciate it if you could tell us about the other girls involved."

Donna hesitated, the weight of her own actions pressing down on her chest. She let out a shaky breath before speaking again, her voice small but resolute. "I saw my sister."

The words hung in the air, heavy and loaded. Donna visibly shuddered, as if the very thought of it unsettled her. "I don't like saying it out loud, but... Diana was there. She... she was part of it, too."

Kara's eyes widened in disbelief. "Wow. Just... wow." She couldn't mask her surprise. "Diana... She loves everyone. She's always so open, so accepting. But this? I didn't expect her to get involved like that."

Raven, too, was taken aback. "It's hard to even process that," she muttered, still reeling from the revelation. "Diana's always been someone who cares deeply for others, but to hear she was a part of this... it doesn't make sense."

Donna lowered her gaze, clearly uncomfortable. "I never imagined she'd have such an interest in Naruto. It feels so strange, like it's all happening in a dream."

Kara exhaled slowly, processing what had been said. There was still so much more to figure out, but they had to focus on the next step. "I see," she said softly. "Now, what do you intend to do about this? You're pregnant. Are you going to have the child or not?"

Donna's eyes widened in shock, and her heart skipped a beat. The news hit her like a wave, drowning her in emotions she wasn't ready to face. She had not been aware of Naruto's fertility—she had been under the impression that it would take time to conceive, just like it had with her late husband.

She glanced down at her stomach, the weight of the revelation sinking in. I have his child. Her hand instinctively rested over her belly, and for a brief moment, she could almost feel her lost child again. The memory of the baby she had lost was still fresh in her mind, and she couldn't help but compare this new life growing inside her to the one she had once cradled.

Tears welled up in Donna's eyes, but she fought to keep them at bay. "I have... I have his child," she whispered to herself. The words felt foreign on her tongue, and yet they carried a weight that seemed to bind her to this new reality.

Kara, sensing the depth of Donna's turmoil, placed a hand on her back in silent support. Raven, too, softened, her usual sharp edges dulled by the intensity of the moment.

"Sorry, girls," Donna's voice trembled slightly, but she was resolute. "Please let me keep this child. I can't just... kill him." Her eyes held a deep vulnerability, a reflection of her internal battle. She placed a hand gently on her stomach, as if already forming an emotional connection with the life growing within her. The idea of ending this child's existence was more than she could bear, not after all she'd already endured.

Raven, who had been silent for a moment, took a step closer. Her gaze softened but remained curious, as if probing deeper into the emotional undertones of the situation. "What about Naruto?" she asked, her voice careful.

Donna's brow furrowed, and she looked at Raven, confused. "What about Naruto? I don't understand." She was caught off guard by the question—was Raven asking if Donna intended to use the child to pursue a relationship with Naruto? It was a question she hadn't even considered.

Raven exchanged a quick glance with Kara, a silent message passing between them. Kara sighed and gave Raven a half-exasperated, half-amused look. With a resigned roll of her eyes, Kara sat back, taking a moment before explaining.

"This is a real mess, Donna," Kara began, her tone steady but carrying the weight of the situation. "Naruto is already worrying about two children, and now, who knows how many more might be on the way? The family dynamic is going to have to change to accommodate all these new girls. I'm expecting some serious drama—and some fights are definitely coming, you can count on that." Her voice was calm, but the tension in her words betrayed the concern she felt.

Raven nodded in agreement, the seriousness of the matter settling over them like a heavy blanket. "Luckily, we all know each other, so it won't escalate into something... worse. But it's definitely going to be complicated. There's also Naruto's other girl back home, who thinks of him as a lover. You know, for her kindness and sacrifice for him. She's bound to get involved once we return to his world."

Kara, clearly not at ease with the idea, crossed her arms. "I don't even know how to feel about that. This whole thing is so... weird." Her voice held a note of discomfort, but it wasn't entirely about the situation—it was about the emotions she had for Naruto.

For the first time in a while, Kara found herself caught in the complexity of the situation. She wasn't sure how to navigate the whirlwind of emotions that had come with being with Naruto. If it were anyone else, she knew exactly what she would do—she'd punch them hard enough to shatter all their teeth and leave. But with Naruto... she wasn't sure. There was something about him, something real about his love, his obsession, his desire to be there for them.

"I can trust him," she said quietly, her voice softening. "His emotions are real. His love for us is real, and it's never going to waver. He's always going to pursue us. That's something I've learned about him." Kara's gaze softened as she spoke, her heart laid bare in that moment. "I feel alive and complete by his side."

Raven watched her, understanding passing between them. Kara's words weren't just about Naruto—they were about the complex relationships they all shared. "Sharing him with others is strange at times," Raven acknowledged. "And, yeah, we've had our arguments. But mostly, we have fun with each other. It's not all about the physical stuff. We enjoy spending time together, as a big, odd family."

Kara nodded thoughtfully. "Exactly. And when we're together, it's not about just him. It's about us, too. We love each other like sisters. And honestly, it's fun being with him together—especially since we can't always go against him alone." She chuckled softly, remembering the laughter they shared during their more chaotic moments.

Raven smiled, her tone lightening. "So, when you say 'we,' you mean the whole family."

"Yeah," Kara said with a smirk. "Even if it gets messy at times, I wouldn't have it any other way. We're a team, and there's always fun to be had when we're all in it together."

Donna, still processing everything, looked down at her hands. Her heart raced as she considered what to do, how to handle the growing life inside her. "Let me think about it," she said, her voice quieter now, more uncertain. "It's too much for me to take in all at once."

"Take your time," Kara said with a reassuring smile as she stood up. "Don't rush the decision, Donna. Think about it carefully. We're friends, and we'll support you no matter what you choose."

"Thank you," Donna whispered, looking up at Kara. "I'll get back to you soon."

Kara smiled warmly. "I'll be waiting. Take care of yourself, Donna." She gave a final nod before turning to leave. Raven followed her out, casting a glance back at Donna before the door closed behind them.

As they walked down the hallway, Kara couldn't help but feel the weight of the decision Donna was facing. Raven, too, had been silent for a moment, processing the conversation. Finally, Raven spoke, her voice laced with curiosity.

"Are you really going to let her keep the child if that's what she wants?" Raven asked, her tone gentle, but probing.

Kara's gaze softened as she turned to look at her friend. "I know Donna. She won't choose anything else. She'll choose Naruto. For herself, and for the child. She wouldn't want her baby to feel abandoned or like a mistake."

Raven raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "You've thought this through."

Kara smiled softly, her eyes faraway as she considered everything that had happened. "I know her better than anyone, Raven. She'll choose Naruto. She has to, for both her and the child."

Raven chuckled quietly, a hint of affection in her voice. "You really know how to read people."

Kara gave a playful grin. "I know," she replied, her voice tinged with satisfaction. Raven chuckled in response, knowing full well that Kara had always been someone who understood the dynamics of relationships—no matter how complicated they might be.
