Chapter 13- Young master Xu Li
Jia Garden, Country X, Year 20XX
While the staff are busy discussing the news regarding the arrival of their mistress, at the top of the stairwell, a boy is quietly standing, looking at the debacle that is going on downstairs. It seems that their helpers have an interesting discussion.
The boy decided to go down to investigate the situation. With light footsteps, he goes down and walks closer to the staffs. He waited for them to notice him but gave up when, 15 minutes later, they were still unaware of him.
"What is going on? Why is everyone so noisy today?" He asked them.
"Ahhhh!!? The servants are startled by the voice that is coming from below them. They look down to see the young master's suspicious eyes. Green eyes are scrutinizing their actions, and it made them guilty for not doing their job properly.
"There is nothing to say, young master. We are just exchanging some pointers for our new helper." The servant lied. Although it is true that they are helping her, they mainly gossip about their new mistress. Not that they can say it to the young master since they were told that no information should be leaked about the mistress, even to the young master himself.
"I see," Xu Li appeased, not believing their words.
"Have you heard about Daddy? When is he coming back?" Xu Li asked instead of digging for more information. He is more interested in his father's whereabouts than in some random gossip that the servants are spouting.
"We're not informed about Master's schedule, young master. If you check with Butler Yang, maybe he knows more."
"Hmmmn," the child replied, then turned his back and left the staff to do their job.
The servant's gaze followed the young master's back. She felt pity for the boy as well as curious about how he would react when he found out that his father had found a second mom for him. They can only hope that the mistress will treat him well.
The young master is not a difficult child. He is very well-behaved and tends to stay on his own. He resembles his father's temperament more. He is also very smart growing up.
Every staff member in Jia Garden is amazed at how he makes things with his hands. Aside from that, he is already handsome at a young age. The boy is taller than other kids his age, and it makes his features older than theirs. Considering his father is very tall, everyone believes that he will also be the same.
He is a miniature version of his dad, but that is not what people notice after meeting him. His green eyes always catch them because they're unique compared to other eye colors in Country X. Since his father has dark brown eyes, people quickly assume that it came from his mother.
If the young master is very handsome, it is also acceptable to say that his mother is beautiful. It is a shame that the master and the young master's mother didn't end up together. If they did, the young master now would not be lonely and alone in this vast estate. What a shame, the helper thought.
Xu Li went back to his room after talking to the staff. He wants to finish his current project and show it to his father when he comes back. A few nights ago, he found some weird-looking paper in his father's office. After studying the content of the paper, he learned that it is called a blueprint. He searched for it online and was amazed to know that if he follows the designs, he can create all kinds of stuff from it. After his discovery, he ordered some people to purchase him all the essential materials to finish his project.
After only two days, he is almost done with it and is excited to show it to his father.
He is confident that it will be successful. So far, there has been nothing he couldn't fix, but he is not satisfied. The goal he wants to achieve is to be one of the best creators in the world. He will make and design anything that he likes!
The only downside is his lack of experience in design. Due to his young age, his dad doesn't allow him yet. Proving to his father that he can do complicated things will help him have access to higher training. Who knows, maybe he will even send him to study engineering later instead of learning their family business.
It is too early to think about his future, but he is a thorough person, so planning it earlier is better. He wonders where he got it from.
