Chapter 54 - 52 Announcement

Everything was finally set for the shop's grand opening. The shelves were stocked, the display counters gleamed, and the aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air. It had been a long journey of preparations, but now, the moment had arrived. Chahat, Tiya, and Jay were brimming with excitement as they made their final arrangements.

The trio had decided to keep the opening intimate, inviting only close friends. However, Tiya, in her characteristic enthusiasm, had other plans.

At lunchtime, the canteen buzzed with students chatting and enjoying their meals. Without a second thought, Tiya leaped onto a table, clapped her hands for attention, and, in her loudest voice, declared, "Ladies and gentlemen! A grand event is upon us! We are opening a fantastic new shop, and you're all invited!"

Heads turned. Conversations halted. For a moment, there was stunned silence before a ripple of amused chuckles spread across the canteen. Some students clapped, some cheered, while others merely shook their heads at Tiya's dramatic flair.

Jay buried his face in his hands, both embarrassed and entertained, while Chahat couldn't decide whether to laugh or scold her.

But before anyone could say a word, Kiya stepped forward, arms crossed, her expression one of exasperation. With a sigh, she shook her head and exclaimed loudly, "Tiya, are you opening a five-star hotel or just a small shop? What's with this over-the-top announcement? Do you expect a red carpet and paparazzi too?"

Her words were dripping with sarcasm, and the audience was quick to respond. Laughter erupted across the canteen. Some students nodded in agreement, while others whispered among themselves, clearly entertained by the unfolding drama.

Not one to back down, Tiya placed her hands on her hips and shot back, "Kiya, my dear critic, it's called enthusiasm! Something you wouldn't understand! If we're doing something big, why not make it exciting?"

Kiya scoffed, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "Exciting is one thing, but this? This is pure theatrics! Next time, just rent a stadium while you're at it."

By now, the canteen had turned into an impromptu debate ground, with students picking sides—some supporting Tiya's energetic approach, while others sided with Kiya's more grounded stance.

Jay, still recovering from second-hand embarrassment, finally stepped in. "Alright, alright! Enough with the drama. Tiya, maybe tone it down a little next time. Kiya, no need to make it sound like she committed a crime. Let's just focus on the opening, okay?"

Chahat, ever the peacemaker, nodded in agreement. "Exactly! What matters is that people know about the shop. So, Tiya's announcement, dramatic or not, did its job."

Tiya smirked triumphantly, while Kiya rolled her eyes but let it go. The argument dissolved into lighthearted teasing as the group left the canteen, their excitement for the grand opening outweighing the theatrics of the day.
