Chapter 84 - 82 She is fuming inside

"Mr. Jaitley," Mihir said, his voice warm yet authoritative, "I would like you to meet two of my most treasured ones—Vansh and Drishti."

As the introductions were made, Mr. Jaitley studied Vansh intently, his sharp eyes filled with recognition. A knowing smile curled on his lips as he nodded in approval.

"Ah, this young man," he mused, "I've seen his face in magazines many times. It's a pleasure to meet you, Vansh."

Vansh offered a polite smile, giving a small nod in acknowledgment. His composed demeanor reflected both confidence and restraint, a trait he had undoubtedly inherited from his father.

Mr. Jaitley then turned his attention to the young woman standing beside Vansh. His expression softened as he regarded her with curiosity.

"And you, my dear... You must be Maithili's daughter," he said, tilting his head slightly. "Such a beautiful girl… What was your name again? Forgive me, I tend to be a little forgetful these days."

Before Drishti could respond, Mihir chuckled, his deep laughter carrying a trace of nostalgia.

"Ah, Mr. Jaitley, time has a way of making us forget things," he remarked with a wry smile. "Perhaps it's true that age takes a toll on our memories. I find myself forgetting things as well."

Forgetful, indeed… Drishti thought silently, a flicker of something unreadable passing through her eyes.

Sensing the shift in conversation, Mr. Jaitley gestured toward the lively celebration around them. "Drishti, I hope you're enjoying the party. If there's anything that doesn't suit your liking, just let your mamaji know. After all, he's been making sure everything is perfect for you, just as he used to do for your mother." His voice carried a hint of sentimentality. "She was his most treasured one back then… and now, I believe, you will be just as cherished."

Drishti remained composed, though she felt the weight of his words settling on her shoulders.

Mihir placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Beta, go on and enjoy the evening with your friends," he encouraged gently before turning to Vansh.

Vansh, who had anticipated what was coming, interrupted before Mihir could say another word. "Papa, I will be with my friends." His tone was calm yet firm, leaving little room for discussion.

Mihir nodded in approval. "Good," he said simply.

Mr. Jaitley observed the interaction with a knowing smirk before shaking his head. "Your son is certainly capable and responsible," he remarked. "But as for mine… well, let's just say he's more interested in chasing women than business." He sighed in exasperation. "I'm absolutely fed up with his antics."

Mihir chuckled but remained diplomatic. "Every child has their own path," he said. "Some take longer to find it than others."

Mr. Jaitley sighed again before his expression turned thoughtful. "I've heard that Senior Singhania has finally stepped out of the shell he built around himself for so many years," he said, his voice dropping slightly. "That distance… it must have been difficult. But perhaps these two children can help bridge the gap."

Mihir's eyes darkened for a moment before he nodded. "Indeed," he agreed.
