New York….Manhattan…

(Nightwing & Red Robin)

A citizen, now a hostage, as she was held captive by a masked man, pointing a pistol towards the side of her head.

"Back off! Back off or I'll fucking kill her!!" The masked man said aggressively.

In front of him parked a police car, two officers stood just outside the car doors pointing their own pistols at the masked man.

Near them, a small crowd of civilians stood there spectating.

This started with a simple robbery in the gas station behind the masked man, snatching every bill in the register including a bag full of cigarettes.

"Put your weapon down!"

"Damn it! We need back up!"

"We don't have any, dispatch said we're stretched out at the moment." One of the officers said reluctantly.

Early. This dumb shitt decided to rob a gas station this fucking early in the night.

"Where the hell are those Nightcrawlers?!"

"It's Nightwatchers!!"

*TOOOoooosshhh*

"Shitt!"

"The lights!!"

Everyone panicked as all lights turned off in the area, turning everyone blind including the masked man.

"Wh-what the hell is going on?! Quit playin' with lights!! Turn em on!!"

"What was that?!"

He panicked, despite the shouts and noises coming around from the crowd he still couldn't help but focus, hearing noises coming close around him.

"Oh thank the lord, sorry buddy, but your time's up." The voice of the police officer spoke, a little too casual not fitting the situation.

The crowd seemed to have their own talks after some calmed down.

"Which one do you think it is?" The officer asked curiously.

"Nightwing…" The other said unsuredly.

"Nah…Red Robin."

"Alright, you're buying me a cup of coffee if I'm right."

"You're on!"

The two officers made the bet in the dark, not even bothering to bet on Red Hood as he's been absent for a while now.

It also saved them from walking on eggshells due to Red Hood's "poor" behavior.

*Bang*

"GAAAAAAGGGHH!!"

*Clack*

*Thud*

*toooooOOSSSHH*

A series of noises were heard before the lights came back on.

The hostage stood from the side shaking as she looked towards the unconscious robber, standing near him was a figure they can only recognize as Red Robin.

"Decaf." The officer turned to his partner.

"Yeah yeah."

Red Robin unmasked the criminal and took a picture before he turned, making his way towards the officers not worrying about the now free hostage.

Seeing him making his way towards them, the two officers straightened up.

When the Nightwatchers made their debut and started operating in the city, the law enforcements had unpleasant opinions of them.

They were vigilantes, something the laws didn't think too well of as they didn't have any legal authority to answer to or take the laws into their own hands.

But as time went on, they noticed there were less crimes and the criminal factions in the city had less activities due to them, and so they did more sitting around eating donuts and drinking coffee than doing actual police work.

It had been quiet, the majority of their calls were either domestic or minor.

So for a while now the Nightwatchers built themselves a good image with the law, at least those that didn't have to deal with the bad side of the city.

And then a series of problems occurred; Red Hood.

At some point, many of the calls they got from gunshots were from him, and wherever he goes or left would be bodies of criminals lying in their own pool of blood.

This turned their image for the worst as they were ordered to arrest not only the Red Hood but all three of them.

Red Hood and Red Robin had it worse, Nightwing who was smart enough to get friendly with a few police officers wasn't as targeted.

But just like before, the law enforcements had no chance of catching them let alone now as they've gotten more skilled and experienced. It also helped that a lot of the officers didn't put much effort in chasing after them.

Many of them were very grateful towards them, saving their lives and preventing them from walking into dangerous situations.

"Greetings!" The officer blurted out.

"Sir Robin!" His partner blurted just as he did.

"After you contain him and lock him up, I'm gonna need you guys to head North…" Red Robin brought up the digital display on his forearm, tracking the red dots on the map of the city. "East of 81st, help out the units over there."

One of the officers raised a hand instinctively, a question in mind. Just as he was about to speak out, Red Robin walked off past them, disappearing into the shadows.

They stood there disappointed but not surprised, Red Robin is known to be quite the anti-social prick. But at least he's not Red Hood.

They looked at each other, feeling ridiculous.

""Greetings"? Really?"

"Oh like you're any better, you called him "Sir" Robin." The other shot back.

"I don't recall saying that crap, come on let's go."

Nightwing….

Nightwing sped past Manhattan in the skies before arriving North of Manhattan reaching the Bronx.

It took a while as he had to help out with a few small cases on the way there which were all really…minor.

He and Robin have decided on splitting the work and work these calls from the North and South.

He stopped just atop a building roof, floating in the air, at the edge stood an old man who was in distress; tears forming up in his face as he looked towards the far ground.

On the streets just below, another round of crowd gathered looking up at him, law enforcements, firefighters and EMS gathered.

On the roof just a bit away from the edge, a group of officers, firefighters and medics stood talking to him.

"Is everything okay, sir?"

Nightwing spoke as he floated down, appearing to them in his fabulous self.

He could've just grabbed the man and brought him down, but it still wouldn't help his struggle.

"Nightwing!"

The others shouted out excitedly, they relaxed visibly as they know now that at least the old man is safe.

But the old man himself looked towards Nightwing with his tired and pitiful eyes, it morphed into…pity? Towards Nightwing?

Nighting wasn't sure what to feel from that look.

He landed on the edge, just a few steps away from the old man.

"Sir, how about we go have a cup of coffee? Maybe get something to eat?"

The man, donning the same expression, looked into Nightwing more closely. He could tell he was young, the hair, the face, the smile and the way he carried himself.

"What's your name?" Nightwing asked.

"You…shouldn't have come…" He muttered.

His tears seemed to fall even more, an unwilling expression showed which gave Nightwing an even more worried feeling.

The old man stepped, but not towards Nightwing, no, he stepped out into the air, but Nightwing was quick, grabbing his shoulder.

"Sir, whatever you're going through, we can help." He said as he gestured towards him and the others who stood worriedly on the roof.

"…I'm sorry…" The old man shook his head. "I'm sorry, child…"

With the other foot, the old man jumped out completely, Nightwing grabbed out with a tight grip but the only thing he grabbed was the coat the old man wore.

"Ahh shitt!"

Nightwing dived down, quickly reaching the old man with both hands, but as they slowed down from the fall Nightwing's eyes widened behind his domino mask.

*BAAAANG*

Asgard…Disregard...…..ALFHEIM

(Kali)

*KRRAAAKKOOOOOOMMMM*

The sound of thunder rumbled, lightning danced around the clouds that started to form.

Under the dark clouds, a battlefield lay where two distinctly different crowds went at each other's necks.

One one side, more lighter in their complexion were without a doubt the Light Elves.

While on the other side were those who had gray-like skin, humanoid but gray.

Hearing and seeing the thunder that bellowed out unnaturally out of nowhere, only one thing came to mind; Thor!

The dark clouds swirled onto the center before a light shined, a small light that continued to shine brighter and bigger.

*WHOOTHOOOOOOOOSSSSHHHH*

At the center of the swirling dark clouds came the Bifrost, beaming down into the planet with great force.

At the end of the Bifrost, where it slammed onto the ground and disappeared, a giant round nordic symbol appeared and stood on it were seven majestic figures that some remember.

"PRINCE THOR!!"

"LADY SIF!"

"ASGARDIANS!"

"THE WARRIOR THREE!"

"HAIL THE ASGARDIANS!!"

The elves shouted in excitement, surprised by their appearance but joyful.

The Asgardians are known to be Alfheim's closest ally, protector and sovereign so they were happy to have more help in this war.

"HEAR ME!!" Thor's loud mouth rang out for the planet to hear. "I, THOR ODINSON, PRINCE OF ASGARD, THE SON OF ODIN HAVE COME IN YOUR TIME OF NEED, LET THOSE WHO HEAR MY NAME TREMBLE WHILE THOSE WHO FIGHT ALONGSIDE ME WITNESS THE GLORY OF ASGARD!!"

The thunder and lightning seemed to have grown as the golden retriever Thor announced his titles and his appearance.

As he did so, a certain man behind him looked around in wonder, a phone in his hand recording himself while he twirled around the new planet.

"Crazy right?! I'm on the planet of the Elves!" Kali shouted as he looked at the phone, which he would no doubt send to his children later.

"HAVE A THEEE!!" Thor shouted as he flew out into the sea of Gray-skinned beings with his hammer in the lead.

The others like Loki and the Warrior Three follow closely behind.

"Alright, follow along as we head into an adventure!" He said as he controlled his KI to let the phone float making sure it's directed at him at all times.

As Kali turned to rush into the battle, he paused as the great Lady Sid stared at him with a raised brow.

"Ahh, Lady Sif. Is everything okay?" Kali asked.

"What is that you hold onto?" She asked the question that had been nagging at her since he pulled it out.

"This?" Kali brought the floating phone closer to him. "We call it a phone, it has many features including pictures and videos like i'm using now." He said as he turned to the phone with a peace sign

"…pictures?…videos…" Her head tilted to the side confuselfy, I do not know of these terms you use." She said, evern with her allspeak she couldn't understand the translation.

"It captures moments, like now and you can see it again later. You can also call another person with it even if you're on the other side of the planet."

"I see." She nodded, it sounded interesting. It also seemed similar to certain things she has seen. "It sounds quite familiar to some of the technology used by those in the galaxies."

Kali nodded, he thought that since they had their own adventures into the cosmos then they should have seen similar techs, advanced or not.

"KALI, FRIEND!" They turned to Thor who was already quite far from them, but still able to hear his big mouth. "ARE YOU AFRAID?! COME! BEFORE I SLAY ALL THESE BEINGS MYSELF!"

Kali ignored him and turned to Sif. "How about I show you more later, for now we should catch up with the princess over there."

"Hah! Very well, let these weaklings taste my blade!" She unsheathed her sword before rushing out.

Before Kali rushed out as well, he turned to the phone. A smirk appeared on his lips, his brows wiggled mischievously before he ran off.

He ran out towards the battlefield, zooming past so fast that he passed Lady Sif and closed in on the battle.

A streak of green energy flowed behind him as he suddenly jumped forward and flew quickly into the high skies.

A thick green energy gushed out covering his figure as he smiled towards Thor from afar.

Two can play that game.

"IN BRIGHTEST DAY, IN DARKEST…NIGHT." He stumbled, forgetting the words. "NO EVIL WILL ESCAPE, UHHhhhh…"

He paused, he had to keep going as everyone's attention was on him.

"LET THOSE WHO HIDE IN THE DARK BE BEWARE OF MY MIGHT, SOMething something…GREEN LANT—GREEN KALI'S MIGHT!!"

At the last word he purposely let out more energy as it flowed out into the skies covering it just like Thor who had his dark clouds and lightning covering the battlefield.

The green energy started to take forms, forming into unfamiliar shapes the inhabitants of Alfheim nor the Asgardians can recognize.

"Hehehehehe, this is war right? Let's show them why America doesn't have free healthcare." He said to the camera.

Hundreds of fighter jets took form, green in color, too much green, but there's fighter jets so it's balanced.

"MURRRRICA!!" He roared as he pointed forward giving the Green light. (See what I did there?😎)

*Whooossh*

*Zooooooom*

*Tatatatatattatatatat*

*Thudooooommm*

The green fighter jets swarmed past the enemy lines, raining down fire like there's no tomorrow.

Blackhawks, tanks and even green constructed soldiers appeared in the air and ground, rushing towards the panicked gray-skinned enemies.

"Captain!" A constructed General's uniform appeared on Kali as he pointed out in the air, where a fighter jet paused in the air unrealistically. A constructed figure jumped out on top of the fighter jet, saluting General Kali.

"I want this fight to end quickly, there are many things to be done and this war is not it! Eradicate the enemies as you see fit, and that hill over there filled with those inferior beings? I want it gone!"

Kali ordered as his thoughts turned to the shocked but beautiful elves. Even the male elves seem just as bea—no, No. Whatever force is controlling his mind will not win!

"Dismissed!" Kali ordered, the constructed captain simply saluted exaggeratedly but couldn't speak. It entered its F-whatever it was and flew out.

"Odin's beard!" Thor and the others muttered out as they looked at the skies that turned green.

Kali nodded pridefully, now he can say that the Asgardians and elves learned what it is to experience the Freedomness of America.

Saudi Arabia...Markus and Ava…

(Red Hood & Ghost)

Gemal, a businessman who has recently arrived in Saudi Arabia for a business deal, is actually a criminal from New York City himself.

Gemal Hassan was a chief curator of the Egyptian exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art until he put his two-weeks-notice in, how? Well he stole an ancient relic from the museum.

By the time they found it was stolen, he was already gone.

Gemal Hassan has worked at the museum for years, during one of his studies through Egypt's history he found out he was related to a certain being that shook him to the core.

During the 1,000 BCE, under the rule of Pharaoh Aram-Set was a Royal Wizard named Nephrus.

A wizard! How unrealistic, he thought. But the more he dug he found other relics and evidence that support the existence of this so-called ancestor of his.

Engrossed, Gemal dug in more into his research, learning more about Nephrus the Royal Wizard. He used his vacation time just to travel and learn more about this Nephrus.

That was until he found something he didn't know he was looking for; A Memoir.

Another ancestor of his descended from Nephrus.

Reading the records, he discovered the way to obtain the power of Nephrus, his ancestor and wield power comparable to gods. All it took were two relics; The Crown of Hathor and The Spirit Gem of Nephrus.

He returned home and back to work, planning his way to grab the Crown of Hathor from the museum he worked in.

It took weeks to prepare and when he finally "grabbed" it he met up with a woman he had started dating, this woman being blind named Alicia Masters.

It was all planned, but the Crown of Hathor needs to be worn by a female that is blind. He had suspicions about the weird requisite but he didn't care, he felt power at the course of his fingers, he was close.

Gemal then tricked his girlfriend into wearing the Crown of Hathor and then something weird happened, the Alicia Masters he knew disappeared and a new Alicia Masters appeared.

An unknown energy spread as he felt even though he couldn't see, it made him worry hoping no one had noticed it.

The Bride of Nephrus or so she says, her rightful place.

He didn't know much about this change since the Memoir didn't record much of it, just that 'the one who wears the Crown of Hathor will guide the blood of Nephrus to the Spirit Gem'.

And so 'Alicia Masters' led him step by step all the way to Egypt, the place where it all began and he shook with excitement, already feeling the power that will course through his veins.

But just as they appeared in Egypt, 'Alicia Masters' frowned, telling him that someone took the Spirit Gem of Nephrus, coincidentally a group of people dug around the area discovering a few treasures and a coffin before moving it out, angered but patient he followed her towards it once more.

He wasn't worried, it was recorded that the only ones who can wield the powers of Nephrus are those who share his blood, so unless whoever dug that gem is a descendant himself then there was no need to worry.

Throughout their travels, Gemal and 'Alicia' met a man who appeared before them, he confronted them trying to detain Gemal and 'Alicia' along with the crown only to be blasted back by 'Alicia' with a beam of energy from the crown.

Gemal was shocked, his body and heart trembled, but not because of fear but anticipation.

The power he witnessed from 'Alicia' through the Crown of Hathor only made it clear to him and confirmed that this endeavor he had teamed upon was not a fairytale.

He witnessed that the power 'Alicia' showed burned the man (agent) into dust, leaving only parts of his burned clothes left.

As they moved on, Gemal Hassan had never been so confident in his steps, especially with a nuclear powered slave guiding him to his burdened purpose.

Through his efforts, he not only found the man who discovered the Spirit Gem of Nephrus but also the rich bastard who wanted to put on his collection of displays to rot.

He set up a business meeting with his fake profile hoping to buy it off, but now he didn't care as he could just tell 'Alicia' to blast the man before taking the gem.

Which had brought them to their current position, a dinner with the rich bastard; Talal Al Amoudi.

"You seem to know your history." Talal Al Amoudi complimented Gemal as he sat across from him on the dinner table.

"I know enough." Gemal smiled softly. "That is also why I came to buy a certain Gem you have discovered in one of Egypt's sites."

"Hmmm yes, but I do have to ask. What is it your wife wears on her head?" Talal asked, a knowing look in his eyes.

Gemal turned to 'Alicia' his 'wife' who sat just beside him with an exaggeratedly large crown on her head. "Ahh, yes it is a gift. You might recognize it for it is one of Egypt's many great artifacts."

"The Crown of Hathor." Talal whispered out. "But…why does she wear this relic?" His eyes frowned, offended by the fact that a person would carelessly don such precious relics of history, which should be preserved and on display not worn.

"Haha, you are mistaken Mr.Al Amoudi, what my wife wears is simply a replica of the real Crown of Hathor. We would not want to be reckless with the real Crown, so we set it up in our collection. As for this replica, well we simply like to show out if I am honest."

"Ah, I see." Relief washed over Talal before he turned apologetic. "Please, forgive my behavior, as you know I am quite the enthusiast of Egyptian relics. I get quite riled up when it comes to it."

"Please, think nothing of it, Mr.Al Amoudi." Gemal chuckled.

"As for our previous topic, It was my recent findings correct? A gem you say?"

"Yes."

"Well that might be quite difficult, as I have not had the time to study my recent discoveries so it will be difficult to take it off my hands." Talal said with a smile Gemal knew all too well.

It means the price for the item he wants will be expensive, but not money expensive as the man who sits across from him is one of the few rich people in Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia is leagues away from the rich in most other countries.

But Gemal prepared well for it.

"I'm sure there are other terms we can come to." Gemal said as he placed a long item wrapped in cloth. "Afterall, there is a price for everything." He smiled.

"There is, the only question is the worth." Talal's eyes squinted, clear interest shown in his eyes.

That was all Gemal needed and so he unwrapped the item from its cloth slowly and carefully.

*Krrrrrrthush*

The chair Talal sat on fell as he stood, clear shock appearing on his face.

"Th- the—is that what I think it is?!" Talal asked in disbelief, almost angry as he couldn't take his eyes off the gold relic in front of him.

"Hahahahaha, why don't you see for yourself." Gemal grabbed the spear and threw it towards Talal.

"NOO—" Talal scrambled to catch the spear, and held it as if he was Gollum. "You idiot, how can you throw such a precious thing so carelessly?!"

Gemal simply laughed out loud, 'Alicia' stayed in the same position as always, expressionless. Yet one can see the impatience slowly forming on her face.

Talal didn't stay angry for long, he looked down at the spear longingly.

"The Spear of Imhotep."

"It seems you know your history as well." Gemal complimented.

"Of course I do! I would be a fool to not recognize this very spear here." Talal blurted as he inspected the spear. "I know every relic wielded by remarkably historical figures, and this might be the best I've held so far!"

He turned to this businessman he had never heard of before. "But it makes no sense, how is it that this weapon is here?! This Spear along with its counterpart Shield has been lost for centuries, no records of it! How did you come to possess it?"

Gemal chuckled, he wasn't surprised by Talal Al Amoudi's reaction, he is known to be a fanatic when it comes to Egyptian weapons artifacts, and one of his favorite historical figures Is Imhotep himself, there was no way he wouldn't recognize the spear.

"I have many artifacts that many believe to be lost in time, but they are only on display for my eyes." He lied through his teeth, but he didn't care. "Unless of course, there is an item I believe is worth trading them for."

"Oh! The gem!" Talal remembered the reason Gemal was here.

"Yousuf!" Talal shouted, letting his assistant know to bring the gem, or gem(s) considering he wasn't sure which one Gemal wanted.

The man before him was a mystery, but if what he said was true then it would be in his best interest to have good dealings with him. Maybe then he could see more of his artifacts that might have been lost through the sea of time.

As Talal focused on the spear, Gemal's entire being shook in excitement.

Power. It's close, the chance to wield the power of GODS!!

But he can't celebrate too early, even if he had The Spirit Gem of Nephrus, it still needs to be activated by 'Alicia' herself before he can wield it.

Yousuf, Talal's assistant, returned with a cloth over a pillow, where he felt the gem was covered in.

But just as it was in reach, an eerie feeling arose in him.

A stench of…ancient decay wafted onto the nose of those in the diner room.

No.

*Kkrrrrrrrthush*

A frown formed on Gemal's face, it only hardened when 'Alicia' jerked up from her seat.

No. Not right now!

The lights flickered, and a towering figure appeared before Gemal, facing the Spirit Gem he was supposed to grasp just moments ago.

•••••••••••

Markus and Ava, standing atop another rooftop observing the situation.

Markus had binoculars sitting on his face, looking at Gemal's situation while Ava used her mask to observe the dinner deal closely.

But after the flicker of lights, they both saw the towering figure appear before their target.

Markus almost threw the binoculars off the roof as he jerked back, goosebumps all over his body as if he just saw a ghost.

Her partner, Ghost, seemed just as shocked by what they were seeing.

Unable to hold it, Markus said calmly.

"Is…IS THAT A FUCKING MUMMY?!?!"
