Hi Im Cici and my crazy story starts one night when my mother was once again, telling me funny stories about me when I was a child. About a "beautiful" ballerina aka me, who was dancing around in our living room so happy for her first dance recital.
She was so happy that she didn't see a small round ottoman in the middle of the room and she end it up falling over and landed with her legs up in the air...
After my mom finished the story, she stood up and with a kiss she told me she had to tell me something really important, yet it had to wait till tomorrow after dinner because dad need it to be there.
After she left I stayed looking at the ceiling in Silence wondering what she had to talk to me about. After a while of thinking I grew tired and fell asleep. In the morning when I woke up I couldn't remember if my mom had actually said that she needed to talk to me or if it was all a dream.
When I asked my mom she told me to just get ready to go to school and then we will talk After school. I nodded, grab my stuff and left for school. I was anxious All day and could hardly pay attention in class. The day went by so slow but at lasts the end of the day was here.
When i got home i went straight to my room and put my stuff down. "Hey mom im home" i yelled as i laid down on my bed. I lost track of time and was waken up by my mom "Cici dinner is ready!" She said as she peeked in my room.
As I sat at the table i asked "mom what was that important thing you wanted to tell me?"
With a smile she nodded "Honey what we are going to tell you is very sensitive, we have been wanting to tell you for the longest time, but we couldn't find the words to do so. We still can't but we can't keep it from you any more."
I looked at her with a smile to encourage her to keep on going and with a small smile she did. "Cici we love you so much and we want you to know that you will always be our little girl."
"Mom what are you trying to say you are scaring me, whats going on?" My mom had tears in her eyes and she looked scared for what she was going to say. My das handed her a tissue. "We have to" he said and with that my mom sighted and continued to talk. "Cici you are adopted honey, but we don't want that to change the way you feel about us because it will never change the way we feel about you, to us you will always be our daughter."
I hadn't realized that I had started to cry until my mom I asked if I was OK, I looked at her and wiped my tears and told her that I already knew. " Mom I kind of already knew that. We are so different, you're beautiful and tall.Dad is tall, blonde, and handsome. I look nothing like you guys im a lost cause."
My mom smiled at me " You Have always been the strong one in the family, you took this better than I expected you to,I don't know what I was so afraid of." She gave me a hug and kiss and walked me to my room.
The next morning i got up and texted my best friend Jess.
Texts msg:
Me: I need to talk to you ASAP! You wont believe what happened last night.
Jess: Hey Good morning to you too! Lol
What happened?!
Me: i cant tell you over the text! Lets meet up.
Jess: sure you want to meet up for breakfast or lunch?
Me: lets make it a brunch at Pops diner. Meet you there at 12:00. Im going to get ready and I'll meet you there.
I put my phone away and run to the shower and picked out a simple casual outfit. My favorite blue jeans a white tank-top with a knitted sweater and a pair of vans to go with it. I put my hair up in a messy bun and wrote a note to my mom letting her know that i was going out to eat with Jess.
After 20 minutes of walking i finally arrived at Pops. I sat down right by the window and order some tots and a soda. While waiting for Jess i snoozed out looking at the beautiful view in front of me that i didn't see or hear when Jess sat down in front of me.
I jumped when i heard her "hey Earth to Cici!" And she just laughed, " hey i already order something sorry i didn't waited. "Its ok. What did you order?" " Some tots and a soda i was planning on eating that while waiting for you but you got here before my food."
After a minute or two the waitressed arrived by the table and ask Jess if she want to order something while handing me my food. " a burger with a large order of tots and a soda please."
"Excuse me" i said aa the waitress was about to leave " yes dear?" She asked as she turned around to look at me. "Can you bring me a beer as well please?" She nodded with a smile and left.
"Hey so tell me what was that important thing your mom told you last night that you couldn't wait to tell me" Jess said with a mocking tone. I rolled my eyes as i leaned over the table to tell her. "My mom just told me that I was adopted but she was so worried about what I was going to do or say that she was about to start crying. After that I told her that I Had my suspicions because I look nothing like them or the whole family and I told her that I loved her and nothing was going to change because she was my mom no matter what anyone said. Although now I am curious to know who my biological parents are." "I bet you are I did you told him that he could tell him how you felt and I wanted to know who your biological parents are?"
"Not yet I don't know how to ask them I don't wanna make them feel bad or anything" after that our food came and we eat in silence. After a while Jess's phone rang and after answering she got up and through a few bills on the table and rand out. I sat there eating my food wandering what i was going to say to my parents. After i was done i payed and left home. When i got there no one was home so i walked to my room and put my head phones on and closed my eyes when i woke up it was late and my parents weren't home yet. I got my phone and texted my mom.
Me: hey mom where are you?
But she didn't answer until an hour later
Mom<3 : sorry honey we where at the movies, when we got home you where sleeping and we didn't wanted to wake you."
Me: its ok mom have fun love you."
After i send the message i went back to sleep.
