Ji Jingfeng leaned close to Ji Anning's ear and coldly warned her.
Ji Anning nodded, "I understand."
Ji Jingfeng's face darkened as his gaze flickered briefly over the buffet area, a shadow of darkness crossing the depths of his eyes, and then he pointed towards a corner on the east side of the hall, saying to Ji Anning, "You go rest over there in the lounge area, I'll have a waiter bring some food and drinks for you. I'll handle the socializing on my own, there's no need to follow me. I'll call you when we're leaving."
Not having to follow him and put on a smile was more than Ji Anning could ask for. She nodded and 'hmmed' in agreement before heading towards the lounge area.
"Miss, your meal."
Ji Anning found a quiet spot to sit down, and it wasn't long before a server brought over her meal.
A glass of orange juice and a glass of watermelon juice, along with two small desserts.
