A sigh echoed through the battlefield.
It pressed down the sounds of slaughter and Hall's roar. The contaminators with red masks, struggling transcendents, and the vine-like tendrils made of flesh all turned their heads towards the source of the sound.
It was Tang Qi, or to be more precise, Tang Qi in his "Second Body" state.
To the onlookers, he was a rugged middle-aged hunter clad in hunter's clothes, his face marked with a scar, tall and upright. Yet, his expression was one of helplessness.
Just then, a shadow lunged at him—a red contaminator.
More advanced than those with white masks, bringing with it even greater combat power. The contaminator, wielding a dagger, burst with tremendous strength from its arm and slashed towards Tang Qi's throat with an illusion-like movement, so fast that the human eye couldn't catch it.
The scene that was expected to play out next would be a pathetic Tang Qi having his throat cut without realization, collapsing in a spray of blood.
