Li Wei continued to wander around the forest, trying to challenge any possible soul beasts he could encounter.
However, the next moment, something weird happened with his wings spirit. The angel part of the wings seemed to twitch around making a commotion in his mind, pointing towards a direction with the tip of its wing. Suddenly, a big Grass Snake around 200 years old bolted out of the bush behind Li Wei, shocking the hell out of him.
Fortunately, the warning by his wings had made enough time for him to prepare himself for the fight. He managed to dodge the snake's bite. The snake's fangs glowed with purple streak, containing deadly poison, which would no doubt would at least paralyze anyone that had been bit by that venomous snake.
Before the snake managed to slither away, Li Wei rushed to attack it. The fight lingered for about half an hour, sipping Li Wei's stamina little by little, this was his first time fighting a reptile beast which was different that legged beasts. After familiarized with the snake's tactics and habits of attacking and dodging, he released a killing punch, wanting to finish it before he was out of his stamina. This fight really drained his energy, not only the snake's ambush shocked him, but fighting with a different lifeform had increase the fight difficulties.
He decided to finish this stroll of his and went back to his house to recuperate and digest today's gains.
The first thing he did was to replenish all his inner strength that had been consumed during the fight just now. And the most important thing was to check his wings spirit' new ability. It seemed like both part of his wings had different initial skills which would improve as he added spirit rings to them. The angel wing could help him detecting any life surrounding him, with at most 10 meter radius. It was small but this was the result of his sensor ability without any spirit rings, he was confident that the ability would continued to improve. He also tried to detect any other abilities that existed inside of his wings spirit. However, it seemed like he need to awaken it on a specific occasion just like how he was in the danger of the snake's ambush. He was not in a rush to explore all of his wings spirit abilities, given time all of the hidden would need to show themselves out anyway.
With this new ability of his, it would increase his survival in the forest against any possible ambush. He rest for a while and then snapped out out of the daze. Time for training!!!
