Lloyd's POV
"You knew about it, didn't you?!" Lloyd shouted, pointing his index finger at her.
His fingers were itching to wrap them around her throat. But he held back- not for the sake of their friendship, but for the girl that she had protected all this time. Irina shrank back in fear, putting a hand up in haste.
"Lloyd, calm down first." She said, her voice breaking in desperation.
A growl came from his right as a blur of red flashed before his eyes. Nina stood there protectively before the witch, baring her fangs at him in a threat. The people behind them tensed as the pressure rose between the three of them. Lloyd clenched his hand, lowering it from the girls.
No, he was not here to pick a fight with them, the kelpie reminded himself, trying to push down his anger. He needed to get to Elize before the inevitable happened. He didn't care about the consequences anymore. He wasn't planning on letting the demon prince interfere in his beloved's fate, no matter what.
