Maya's POV
I am still standing at the center of the airfield, and it is already dark. No matter how many times Rich asked me to come with him, I remain footed on the ground. I don't wish to leave the Monleon Hacienda because it feels like I already abandoned him. In the end, my brother keeps quiet, and he just allows me to stand and stare into space. The summer night breeze touched my skin and I shiver, yet I don't want to move until I heard an approaching vehicle coming at us, the headlights illuminated the helipad that I covered my eyes with my hand, and I heard Lisa's voice calling my name.
"Maya!" She exclaimed and runs to me, and the time she hugged me, I can't stop my tears from falling again.
"Shh, it is okay, everything will be alright. I know you are in pain right now, but you need to go home, your grandparents and Mary needed you right now, that is why you need to be strong." She declared and the moment she mentioned my entire family I suddenly felt nervous.
