Katie Goris looked on, waiting for Sofia Lanzo to continue with her story. The meeting was about Sofia giving her information, and Katie was not ready to encourage any conversation outside that.
"After finding you in that room, I wondered why my brother would single you out among all the girls that came, and I realized that he liked you a lot but didn't know how to communicate his emotions," Sofia said.
Katie Goris raised her eyebrows, wondering why they were still on this topic. "It's hard to believe, right? I know my brother; he is possessive and doesn't share, so it's not surprising that he wanted you dead after you were no longer his. His policy is that he cannot have you, and nobody else can or should."
Katie Goris suddenly stood up, ready to head out of the room, her face expressionless but her tone cold. "Miss Lanzo, if this is about your brother, then this meeting is over. I don't have anything to contribute, and you're wasting both our time."
