CONNER'S POV;
" Mason she's smiling. Why is she smiling" We both close the back of the truck and race to the opening of the castle. Without another word or glance to each other, both of us to preoccupied with other matters on our hands. Mine being that the chosen love of my life is in a blue state literally and his preparing himself to die. With my secrets kept enclosed within my mind I pick up her ice cold body and run into the castle in search for a doctor.
I don't know where he is and I immediately panic as warriors from my army began swarming me as if I was an intruder. Which they believe due to the fact that no one has ever seen my face except for the few that I know I can trust. Just as they were preparing to attack me the leader of the army showed up. " Don't touch him he is acquainted with the king and is seeking shelter as well as medical attention. lower your weapons you are disrespecting the guest of your leader."
Stephen moves out of the group of men and stands in front of me. " I said LOWER YOUR WEAPONS AT ONCE. This is a direct order from the king himself, DO YOU DARE DISOBEY!?" Stephen is my childhood friend and the only person I trust enough to tell him the secret of my heritage. The men look over me once more and noticed the glowing Sophia laying in my arms . I instantly transformed my face daring them to try and touch her and showing them she's my claim. Eventually they lowered there weapons after a very intense stare down and headed back to their post.
" Stephen I need the doctor to come to my room as fast as he can I don't know whats wrong with her ." Panic was spewing out in my quivering voice with the thought of loosing someone that I wanted, loved and adored. " Go to your room quickly before any men see you and try to kill you for trespassing" he says rushing in the opposite direction as me.
Running up the stairs at a pace inhuman I reach the oak wood doors of my bedroom and as gently as I can manage lay her on my bed. " What can I do please tell me what to do and i'll do it I promise. I won't hurt you I swear i'll never hurt you just please come back to me please." For the first time in years I feel pain and rage fueling my sadness. All the years of pent up tears swell and bust the dam that covers my eyes. I only cry for her, that's how it's always been it has always been for her.....
