"Dead? What do you mean dead? I am clearly alive??" she scoffed as she raised both her arms as high as she could whilst staring hard at Asteria. The old woman let out a low chuckle at that before her entire demeanor changed into a serious one which had her putting her arms back down, patiently waiting for the other's explanation.
"Three days ago Maximile came home saying that you got into a car accident and you died. Which was weird because how could someone who was supposed to be on the other side of the world know of your accident first before we – who was much closer to where you were, so I got investigating."
Rose just stared at Asteria, her mind going grim as she realized what her husband was playing at.
"With the way you are phrasing things, it's as if you suspect that this was not an accident." – it was not. She knew it was not, she didn't know how but her memories would eventually come back to her and the answer would soon surface.
