"Len, shall we have lunch together?" Doyle asks me just as our lunch break officially began.
I blinked blankly in his direction, not fully comprehending the fact that he asked me to lunch again when he had already invited me earlier. Nevertheless, I did feel like we needed to spend some time together after that awkward moment which led to missing one another for another few days.
"Sure. I... Think we have quite a bit to catch up on..." I trailed off as our eyes met and I realised how close we were again for the second time today.
Doyle smiles and gently untangles our lightly entwined fingers before bending to help pick up my scattered documents from the ground. Realising I was troubling him with my clumsiness, I hurried to my knees to reach for the rest of the documents when he catches my arm and pulls me to my feet.
"Huh?" I gasped in surprise before he pats the dust off my knees and shook his head to discourage me from doing it again.
