Axel started his story from when he was on Earth. Who he was and how he reincarnated here. This was huge news for his parents and his uncle.
His mother could not even believe it. For the entire time, she thought that Axel was her son but now he was reincarnated? Did such a thing really happen?
"Axel, you are not joking right?", asked his mom.
Axel didn't speak anything but his expression said it all.
"So, did you kill the soul of our son while being born?", asked his mother.
Axel had never thought of such a thing. But had such a thing happened? Cause if it did then he didn't know how his relationship with his family would turn into.
"CERLIN!! What the hell are you saying? Did you forget about the miscarriage?", shouted his father to his mother which immediately made her shut up.
"What about the miscarriage?", asked Axel cause even he didn't have any idea about this.
"Axel, before you were born, your mother suffered from a miscarriage. At least that was what the doctor said. The doctor said that the baby was already dead and we needed to do an operation to take it out. Your mother was 8 months pregnant at that time.
But when they took out the dead body of the unborn child, you opened your eyes and started to cry. The doctor said that it was a miracle. So, Cerlin, maybe our baby had already died before Axel's soul came to take over the dead body.
And even if it is not true and Axel did take over the soul of that child, we are still his parents. Axel is our son through and through. How can you even think of such a thing?"
"Yes, I am sorry Axel. I was not thinking straight. You are still our son. Please forgive me.", said his mother, and Axel immediately knelt down to pacify his mother.
"Can you continue your story? We don't have much time.", reminded Xerneas again.
Axel started to talk about his system and none of them were surprised about this. They knew that Axel was somehow different and now they just knew the reason. Even the commanders were not surprised cause they knew that Axel had some special powers.
After that Axel started to talk about the mission and about Arceus.
"What?? Are you telling me that Arceus is somehow being manipulated? Then how are we going to live from now on?", shouted Dory as she just could not believe such an absurd thing.
"Hmm, I knew that he was being corrupted but didn't know that you were sent here to cure him. What are you planning to do with Arceus in the future?", asked Xerneas.
"I really have no idea. The mission said that I needed to survive and I needed to cure Arceus. So, that is what I will do but I don't know how to do it.", said Axel.
"Hmm, let me give you some information. There are only 5 beings in this universe that Arceus cannot control. First is me. Second is Celebi, Third is Ho-Oh. Fourth is the current Pokemon master and the last one is Axel Blaze.
He could not control us three cause we were not created by him. He could not control the first Pokemon master due to the first Pokemon master but I never understood why he could not control you. Now, I know the reason.
I have already started to realize that Arceus is being corrupted by some unknown force. Even I am being corrupted by that force. But as I am the reason for life in all the realms, I can control the corruption but I cannot do it for eternity.
Ho-Oh is also being corrupted but now it has somehow learned to control the corruption now. I don't know how it did it but it did. Before, I start to talk, it looks like you still have some thing to say. So, please finish your speech."
Axel then started to talk about his talk with the system and how he was just a pawn and even if he cured Arceus, he would not be able to have his freedom. Being the knight of the creator was going to be like a jail for him.
"Son, then what are we going to do?", asked his father.
"I don't know. That is why I wanted to talk to all of you. Actually, I have an idea."
Axel then told all of them about the option to deactivate the system and also increase the difficulty level.
"Axel, even though you are a good human, I am not going to do anything to help you out here. If I could do that with just a wave of my fingers, I would have done it but I cannot fight with this so-called creator.
But you calling me here means that you want me to help you in some sort of way and in return, you will help me with Arceus.", said Xerneas.
"Yes, that is the gist of it.", said Axel.
Xerneas actually was feeling bad for Axel. The young human had done nothing wrong and yet he was going to suffer a lot. It wanted to help him and it had some ways to do it but it just could not do it without the risk of losing anything.
Xerneas and Celebi started to talk telepathically and all of them just waited for their decision.
"Axel, we have talked about it a lot and we have decided on the solution. First of all, I am going to teach you something called 'Soul arts'. First of all, let me tell you something about the soul itself.
A soul is something that you carry in your next life. It is the only one that remains with you throughout your entire journey. 'Soul arts' basically increases the power of your soul and also keeps the power that you have gained inside your soul.
So your soul just becomes powerful. But it is not easy to learn and progress in soul art. Since you can carry the power of your soul in your next journey, the price would have to be paid and the price is time.
So, by learning this soul art, your soul will become powerful. And if your soul reaches that milestone then you may not have to work under this creator."
"Is that really possible?"
"Theoretically it is possible but practically it takes a long time and not many people have the capability to learn it. Especially humans. Pokemons learn it faster than humans."
"But why is that?"
"There are actually 3 explanations for it. First of all, Pokemons are more attuned to their souls than humans. We don't know why that is but it is reality."
"And the second?"
"The second reason is that when your soul art reaches a higher stage, you can actually connect your soul with your Pokemons. The number of Pokemons that you can connect to will depend on your mastery of soul arts. When you connect your soul with your Pokemon, your soul would become weaker for a period of time but there are some benefits.
Like, you can summon your soul partner or your Pokemon whenever you want. You can even store them in your mind space and finally, your Pokemon will get a boost."
"That doesn't sound fair."
"Of course, it is not fair. Humans are something that we Pokemons created. So, you lack a lot of things."
"That is true.", said Axel who became depressed after hearing it.
It was a long story but humans were created by Pokemons.
"But don't sell yourself sort. If the first Pokemon master could reach such a height then you might also reach that level and even surpass it. If you are able to surpass it then you might reach the level of Arceus or even higher.", said Xerneas.
"And then the final reason, also the most important one. When you start your soul arts training, your current rank will start to drop rapidly. Cause you will be truly connecting your soul with your body. This will be a long and painful process and there will be leakages.
But your Pokemons would not have to suffer through that."
"What? But that is so unfair."
"It is not unfair. The reason that your Pokemons should not have to lose your ranks is due to me. I will be helping them. The soul arts that you will be training is basically coming from me, a Pokemon. This soul art is not 100% compatible with humans. So you will lose a lot."
"One another question. If you knew such a powerful art, then why didn't you teach it to Pokemon and humans?"
"The answer is very simple. It is done to not break the balance of this world. Even though Pokemons are stronger than humans, we still fear that if we were to teach humans about this, then one-day humans will create their own soul arts and they might even compete with us.
This is the hard truth because unlike us, you humans are very greedy in nature. The only reason that we are living in harmony is cause you guys are weaker and we are not greedy in nature."
"Then why tell this to me now?"
"Because if I don't do this, then the world will come to an end. Learning soul arts has many advantages. First of all, even if you were to die, a good portion of your strength will be carried through the next life. Your soul power would increase a lot and your body and soul would connect, which will boost your powers to a very high level.
But as I have said to you, learning soul art is a time-consuming process. It could not be done in just a month or even a year. And as I have talked to my peers, we only have around 10 years left before the final battle."
Xerneas told them that it would give the training book of soul arts to them but they still needed to talk about a lot of things.
The first thing was how to cure Arceus?
"The only lead that we have is Ho-Oh. It was influenced by this corruption but somehow it got out of it. If we have any way of doing it, we have to talk to it.", said Celebi.
"So, why don't we talk to it?"
"It is not that easy. I told you before that there are 5 beings that Arceus cannot control and Ho-Oh is one of them. Ever thought about why? I am not going to tell you why Ho-Oh is so special cause it is the story of Ho-Oh, not mine. We need to respect it for what it really is.
So, even I cannot get in touch with Ho-Oh unless it wants to meet with me. So, you will have to meet with Ho-Oh, yourself.", said Xerneas to Axel.
"If you can't get in touch with Ho-Oh, how do you expect me to do it?", asked Axel.
He knew that Xerneas was something that he should worship and respect. It was the only Pokemon that was keeping all of the realms together in harmony. That was a huge thing.
But now his life was on the line, so he didn't care for any honorifics.
"Since I have the power to manipulate souls and use soul power, I can also sense the trajectory of souls. I can tell that Ho-Oh and you are somehow connected in a weird and distant way."
Xerneas dropped a bomb on Axel after saying it.
