A few minutes later, Nan Xin left the office with her phone in hand.
Li San sat in his swivel chair with a cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth, eyeing his despondent elder brother Li Yan with disdain. "You came to the border and didn't tell Qiaoqiao?"
Li Yan glanced at him, "No, she's been quite busy lately, I didn't want to disturb her."
"Spill it, what do you really want from Nan Xin?"
Li San exhaled a thick cloud of smoke toward Li Yan, his arched eyebrows conveying a hint of danger.
Li Yan pursed his lips, looking at the stern-faced Li San, pondered for a few seconds, and still chose to speak the truth, "I asked her to help me find someone. What else could it be?"
Li San squinted suspiciously, "Who could possibly be worth your while to come all the way to the border to find? Is that person in the border?"
