Chapter 52 - Did immortals eat so much

The next day, after dressing up Zhan Shenwei prepared to report to the harbour for duty.

Opening the door to his room to go downstairs for breakfast at the inn kitchen before he left, Zhan Shenwei found Ji Ji already waiting for him.

" Good morning Young Master", Ji Ji bowed lightly.

Zhan Shenwei thought rapidly, nodding his head as he had Ji Ji follow him to the inn dinner first.

Since Ji Ji was going to serve him, he planned to bring this his new servant along as he went about his duties, before he figured out what to do with him.

He had not yet arranged his own duties fully yet talk less of his servant.

But for now, breakfast first, Zhan Shenwei took his meals seriously.

In the dinner , Zhan Shenwei found a table and had the inn keeper serve them.

His today's food was the monster beast meat grilled, together with massive amounts of golden geese eggs, Earth bull beef, some spirit rice, jade chicken broth soup and seasoned rose tomato and greens stew.

The inn keeper was all smile at this VIP. He felt as much joy as Zhan Shenwei was feeling as he ate.

Zhan Shenwei was relatively quiet in his establishment but was loud in his meals, apart from the monster meat provided directly by Zhan Shenwei but cooked by him, the rest of his meal were made from very pricy quality ingredients and even the cooking of the monster meat was still paid for.

And this patron ate in large quantities, not even using a normal sized plate!

To the other frequent visitors in the inn, the shock at this sight had been somewhat reduced, but the new ones, to the new ones, the sight of this was shocking.

this kid was a taotie, a beast, what a glutton.

This thought didn't echo quite the same to everyone.

At least to the inn keeper, what glutton!, Zhan Shenwei was very handsome and elegant healthy young man.

Naturally Zhan Shenwei was very handsome, but to this business man it was the money that made him handsome to him.

Every meal earned him about 2 gold coins!, although he specially had to source ingredients from high end markets, with even having to buy ingredients used by immortals( cultivators) for the noble end of the outer bright jade City, but even after removing all the production costs, he could still earn a 10 silver coins!

A huge sum, taking regular clients in the inn could only earn him this in 5 or 6 months, depending on how busy was.

After all this was relatively ordinary inn, not luxurious or anything.

But the inn keeper felt this wouldn't stay like that for so long, with the money he was making on daily basis now off this patron, he could soon renovate and improve on his inn, and even open other branches.

The future was bright.

The purchasing power of the currency of the secular world was as this: 1 gold coins equals 100 silver coins and 1 silver coin equals 100 copper coins.

A normal meal for a average family was worth just 30 copper coins, imagine the purchasing power of silver, then that of gold.

It was a lot!, 2 gold coins per meal, even noble families couldn't spend such amount for feeding in months.

The inn keeper had already known Zhan Shenwei was a cultivator, some of his meal ingredients had to sourced from stores that had access to spirit herbs and food stuffs.

As expected immortals were quite different from they mortals.

it was his good luck to have received the arrival of Zhan Shenwei and his group at his inn.

Although the rest had left after a while, the main money bag was still here.

Even the rest of his group had normal human appetites, sometimes they even skipped meals.

Only his main money bag ate well, very well and he ate a lot, a lot lot.

He couldn't know what was going through the inn keeper's mind, but Zhan Shenwei wouldn't mind all this, he wasn't being extravagant with his meals, he was cultivating.

His Primordial chaos god physique devoured vital essense, he had to eat well.

And also the purchasing power of gold was only quite high for secular matters, of course too gold also wasn't dirt cheap for cultivators, but it wasn't as useful for them and for him it wasn't much too.

He had mountain piles in his storage ring.

Ji Ji was quite flattered, thinking to himself he made a right decision to serve this immortal cultivator, he even sat on the same table and Zhan Shenwei had the inn keeper also bring a plate of meal for him.

The meal was delicious and after every swallow he would feel warm heat spread from his stomach throughout his body, making him feel energetic, what a meal.

Was the what immortals ate?

Food rich in vital essence or qi was beneficial to cultivators, and very more so for mortals.

Eating it for a duration could increase the lifespan of the mortal and also strengthen their bodies.

It was just that due to not practicing cultivation they couldn't absorb the high qi present in the food well, hence it was quite dangerous in certain amounts.

Zhan Shenwei only had the inn keeper serve Ji Ji a bit, at first Ji Ji felt maybe Zhan Shenwei did so to accentuate their status disparity, though not thinking so much about this.

How many servants even sat on the same table with their noble, as a far esteemed immortal Zhan Shenwei was still quite good to him.

But after eating, looking at his plate, that his bit of serving still remained a little bit.

And he was very full, so stuffed, Ji Ji felt like if he ate more he could explode.

So it wasn't my master being selfish, I can't handle it.

Then his face froze, looking forward across the table, before he was quite "impressed" with Zhan Shenwei meal.

his plate though quite beautiful and ornamental was actually a wide large bowl, big enough for a young baby to fit in.

Now having eaten just a bit and experiencing the amount of energy in the meal, he was now more impressed, and his master ate two more bowls, no plates, before they left the inn.

Did immortals eat so much, Ji Ji thought.
