Chapter 1 - Chapter One

Sarina's POV

Sarina sighed as she got into her car driving to the little school not far from her home. It didn't really look like a school but who was she to judge a book by it's cover. As she got out the voices hit her like a tone of bricks. Sarina groaned inwardly and walked into the school building headed to her locker. 'Is he okay?' she heard someone think and she looked towards the girl who thoughts she could hear as plain as day and then noticed a boy nodding. Sarina backed up as she realized the boy heard the girls thought and replied to her. "H-how?" she whispered clutching her bag tightly needing something to old onto so she wouldn't faint. 'Good because if anyone finds out that we're vampires..because..' the girl thought then shuddered. Sarina gasped allowed and the two looked at her as did a few other students. Sarina blushed in embarrassment then quickly walked past the two vampires heading to the bathroom. In her haste she ran into something that felt like a wall and fell to the ground. Sarina looked up into the flat black eyes of the boy she had ran into. He was glaring down at her and the look in his eyes was pure hunger. 'I-i can't control myself..' he thought then froze as he smelled her for the first time. 'Oh god..why does she have to smell so good.' he said about to step towards her when a huge burly guy touched his arm and whispered in the guys ear. "Jasper let's go.." he said hauling the guy away from her and towards the two vampires she just passed. "How many are there?" Sarina asked gulping as she got up a bolted into the bathroom locking the door and sliding down the wall having a mental breakdown.

Jasper's POV

Jasper was pulled out the school by Emmett and Edward them both turned to him worry in their eyes. "That..girl that ran into you...she could hear Alice's thoughts." Edward said crossing his arms. "I don't know how but she could." he added before Emmett could say anything. Alice groaned as she walked towards him. "So..that's why she was so scared and locked herself in the bathroom..." she said then glared at her brother. "And you didn't help by glaring at her the way you did." she added leaning against the wall. "I couldn't help it...she smelt.." Jasper trailed off before his thirst could overwhelm him again. "I don't know how I'm going to get through this day." he added but he knew he couldn't face Carlisle if he cowardly went home early. "If it becomes to much...I'll probably head home." he said and the others agreed then headed to their classes.

Sarina's POV

Sarina finally got up and walked out of the bathroom heading to her first class stopping dead in the doorway as her eyes locked with Jasper's. 'Not her again..' he groaned looking over at the only open seat right beside his. Sarina took a deep breath then walked to the seat sitting down and staying silent as she stared at her desk. "Well you're brave for sitting next to me." Jasper spoke through clenched teeth as he stared at her. "Where else could I sit?" she asked looking back at him but immediately regretted it because he was glaring again. "I'm sorry for causing you so much pain..." she said sadly as she looked down again. Jasper frowned confused. "Why are you sorry?" he asked crossing his arms. "Because...I know how hard this is for you." she and he nodded remembering she could hear his thoughts. "You know I can also see your past...and future right?" she asked and be froze realizing she wasn't just like Edward but his sister Alice as well. "How long have you been able to do that?" he asked. "Since I was born." she replied and they grew silent as the teacher walked in. She could hear his thoughts veer from his hunger for her blood to his confusion on how she has these special gifs. 'Carlisle will want to see you..' he thought then glanced over at her with a small smirk. "If he's as charming as you I'll pass." she whispered making him chuckle. "He's a lot better at this than I am believe me...he's actually the doctor here in town." Jasper said making Sarina raise a eyebrow and smile slightly. "Oh..well then I guess I could stop by...my grandmother works there so I could say I was stopping to see her." she shrugged plotting on a way to meet Carlisle without it being weird. "Edward will introduce you most likely." he said and then pretended to copy down notes though Sarina saw him glance at her every now and then. She took down her notes and got up as the bell rang Jasper already out the door before she was out of her seat good. Sarina sighed and went out of the classroom as Alice walked over to her. "Don't worry about my brother...he's new to this but...he seems to like you...he never makes conversation while he's here not even with us." she said giving Sarina a friendly smile. "Yeah...I know I- I'm like you too." Sarina said as Alice's eyes widened in shock. "Can you keep an eye on him...and Edward for me...you're the only one that can hear what both of them are thinking.." she added and Sarina sighed nodding as she walked to her next class. When the bell rang for lunch she headed to the cafeteria seeing the same burly boy and the one name Edward heading to a table in the far corner away from everyone. When she got into the cafeteria she noticed Alice and another girl. The girl was a gorgeous blonde that looked like she had just stepped off a runway. Sarina looked down at her plain clothes then back to the table where the Cullen's were seated and sighed. Jasper walked up behind her and she could tell he was smirking. "Don't worry you look fine." he said chuckling. "Easy for you to say...you're all in designer outfits." she said then made her way through the lunch line. "True...but your clothes are fine..you look.." he trailed off licking his lips the hunger still in his eyes though he wasn't glaring at her now. "Delicious?" she finished for him and he winced looking down. 'Sorry..yes Delicious but...I was going to say beautiful.' he thought then walked away before she could reply. "Not fair." she muttered and thought she saw him chuckling as he sat down by Alice but she shrugged grabbing her burger and a sweet tea before going over to a table alone. She looked around noticing the other new girl that was in one of her classes. The girl was looking at the Cullen's or rather one Cullen. She was staring at Edward and he was staring back. 'Interesting..' Sarina thought smirking as she locked eyes with Alice who winked at her. 'Aw not you too.' Edward thought towards her making her giggle slightly but she looked away and tried tuning into someone else's thoughts.
