One of the rings on Tyler's fingers flashed as he activated the secondary effect of the Death's Shadow Ring. This was an actual magic artifact reforged by the Master Blacksmith, Ragdek, from the core of the Eldar Lich and the magic artifact he obtained from the Eldar Lich—the Orb of Death.
The primary effect of this magic artifact was the passive skill: Negative Energy Syphon. This skill continuously absorbs negative energy from both the surrounding atmosphere and within the user's body.
This essentially prevents any negative corruption from the use or misuse of negative energy, allowing Tyler to use necromancy without the fear of slowly becoming an undead himself.
While this passive skill was the most important aspect of this artifact to Tyler, who had once been corrupted by negative energy, the item also possessed two useful secondary effects.
