Chapter 6- The Failed Motive
The Next Day Shawn woke me up by ringing my doorbell constantly. I opened my eyes annoyed and said "It's morning already. Too bad". I had a wonderful dream that I wanted to last forever. I dreamt that I met all the Zodiacs and we were playing games with each other. Leo, Libra and I was just about to form a pact with each other that we'd become the best of friends but Gemini interrupted it trying to kill me. Something about I hurt her in the past. Gemini and I were finally about to make up and kiss. Too bad I woke up" I sighed.
I got up out of bed and opened the door for Shawn to come in. "Yow, Good morning" he greeted. I nodded in reply. "Good morning, what time is it?" I asked. "8 am" replied Shawn happily. "Let's go get some breakfast" said Shawn. He dragged me to the dining hall where everyone was eating omelet with green tea. When we were finished Shawn made an announcement to everyone inside the Dining Hall.
"Everyone I have news. What do you think about holding a soccer tournament? Two people a team" said Shawn excitedly.

Almost everyone ignored him when he said that but he kept on saying it. "Ah seriously guys. Come on it will fun" said Shawn. "Sorry I don't have time for that. I'm busy painting something in my room" said Xavier. "I'm no good at football so I have to pass" said Olivia. "Me too sorry" said Flora. "I'm willing to play" said Ricardo.
"Too bad, I was hoping that we'd play together. Someone told me that working together strengthens your bond with someone which is why soccer is such a wonderful sport. You have to work together in order to win" said Shawn. "It sounds fun guys, let's do it do we have enough for a tournament?" said Alisa.
"Yeah I already thought of that. Ricardo and I be playing on two separate teams. I'll make sure that the match ups don't make my two teams go against each other and if it eventually does I'll have Paul take my spot on one of the teams" said Shawn excitedly. "When is this tournament of you going to start?" asked Alisa. "I was thinking tomorrow. I'll choose the teams" said Shawn.
Everyone gave it some thought and said "Okay, it can't be that bad".
"Awesome!"
When we all finished our breakfast we went our separate ways. Shawn, Alisa and I were in front of the dormitory talking to each other. "Alisa so where are we investigating first?" asked Shawn. "Wait before that I'd like to show you something" said Alisa pulling out her small notebook. She showed a drawn map of the school and it was surprisingly accurate.
At the very back was the main building, the dormitory, the gym and the warehouse. Before those buildings are the Game room, the library, the dojo and the Gardening room and even before those buildings are a small zoo, punishment rooms and the computer room. "Wait Zoo, punishment room and computer room. IS that what's beyond those walls?" I asked.
Alisa nodded and replied "It must be, before the Game room, library, dojo and the gardening room was available to us I already saw it on this map so it must be true. My only question is why do I have this drawn map? I don't remember drawing it and I'm the only one who could've done it".
She flipped the page and said "And that's not all I also saw some other strange things in this book for example". She showed us writings that she doesn't remember putting in her book. "I wonder did we lose our memories?" asked Alisa.
"Really, I don't feel like I've forgotten anything. We were drugged while we were a sleep and brought here right?" I said. "I'm starting to doubt that. I asked Monoplus earlier today about what the date is today but he only told us the time. What do you think that means?" asked Alisa.
"Date? Today is…. Now that you mention it the MonoID doesn't show the day, month or year next to the time and there aren't any calendars around either" said Shawn. "We lost our memories huh, It's not that unbelievable seeing that this killing game is clearly referencing the previous ones. It's weird I feel like I remember everything I need to know. Did I forget anything?" I wondered.
"You sure did Cj, in this book here I have a list of people who are in a relationship and I saw your name" said Alisa.
That surprised me a bit. I asked "Really who was I with?"
Alisa blushed and said "I'm not going to say it. When we get back our memories you two will find out". "Hmm, it doesn't sound like she's talking about herself. I wonder if she speaking of June?" I asked myself. "Her name is the next thing that came to mind. From day one it felt like I've known her before".
Alisa closed her book and said "Shawn you said you had something to do this morning. Do you want us to begin at noon or start now?" "Let's begin at noon. We'll gather at the front of the library" said Shawn. She then walked away with a puzzled look on her face. "What are you going to do Shawn?" I asked. He grinned and told me to follow him to Xavier's room. We went and knocked on his door but he wasn't inside. "Oh, he must still be at the dining hall" said Shawn. He ran to go get him. Ten minutes later he arrived with Xavier in hand.
Red head sighed and said "I am not finished yet. You sure you still want to see it?". "Yes, yes I wanna" said Shawn jumping up and down. Xavier opened his door and let us inside. When we entered we saw several framed paintings on the wall of me, Shawn and the rest. On his desk next to his bed he has a larger canvas paper with Me, June, Paul and a piece of Flora. The one on the desk isn't finished yet" said Xavier.
"What are we doing in here?" I asked. Shawn pointed at all the paintings on Xavier's wall and said "We're going to put each person's painting on their respective doors" said Shawn. "Why?"
"No reason, just for fun" said Shawn. "Umm, okay I'll take the painting of me and paste it on my door" I said while picking it up. Xavier looked at me intensely and asked "What do you think of it?" I gulped and looked at his painting of me. Without a doubt it was amazing but it certainly wasn't a hundred percent accurate like I expected it to be. "I pointed at my ears and said "Why did you give me pointy ears? I look like an elf I said confused. I then looked at my eyes and realized that it was blue instead of black. "Did the black ink finish on you?" I asked. Xavier nodded feeling embarrassed. "Yeah it did, sorry" said Xavier. I rubbed his soft and beautiful red head and said "Don't worry thanks anyway"
I went and paste this painting on my door then helped pasting the others. When we were finished every door including Mark's and Zoey's had a picture on them. I asked Shawn "Was this the thing you wanted to do this morning?"
"No I have other things I'm planning on. Yesterday I promised Jasmine to bring a hundred medicinal herbs to her in the infirmary. We left those inside the creepy Gardening room yesterday so It's a decent walk" said Shawn. "I'll help out with that too" I said.
Before we left the dormitory Shawna surprisingly exited her room with her hair a mess and her eyes red. "It's been so long since we've seen her. She wasn't at dinner yesterday or at breakfast. She's always in her room" I thought to myself. Shawna looked at her door and sighed. "Oh I thank goodness".
"What's up Bitch, long time no see" said Shawn. Shawna looked at us and asked "Are you talking to me? My name Is Shawna Matar". "Why are your eyes so red? Haven't you been sleeping?" I asked worriedly.
She yawned and replied "I sleep three times a week. I'm planning on sleeping tonight". "What are you doing in your room for you to ignore sleep?" I asked. "Something important that's what" she quickly replied. "What?"
"I won't tell you guys that yet but anyways thanks for the painting. It looks good" sighed Shawna. "Xavier's the one who you should thank".
"Oh I see, I'll be sure to when I see him" she said as she entered her room. "Shawna looks unhealthy. What has she been eating?" I asked. Shawn replied "Remember what Zoey asked of us, she wanted us to call her a bitch remember".
"She obviously didn't mean that" I stated. "Anyways let's get to those herbs, when we meet up with Alisa or Jasmine we'll tell her about Shawna's health" said Shawn. I agreed and we got to work.
A whole hour has passed and Shawn and I were still picking herbs. It took longer than expected because we didn't know which plants was medicine and which weren't. Luckily there were five encyclopedias about plants inside the gardening room so we used those to identify the medicinal herbs from which aren't. Because we had to look in the book constantly it slowed our pace down by a lot. While we were picking up herbs June walked in on us and said "Cj, can I speak with you for a minute".
"What could she want?" I wondered. She looked like she wasn't going to take no for an answer so I told Shawn that I'd soon be back and ran over to June. "Hey" I greeted. She nodded back and said "Hey, follow me". "Wha! Where?"
"To an empty classroom" she replied. "Why?"
"Move your feet already!" June demanded. I followed her to the empty classroom and we both took a seat beside each other. "So what now?" I asked curious to what's about to happen.

"Hey"
"June I'm talking to you" I said in her ears. She bit her right thumb and said "Damn it I played it out in my head so brilliantly but now I can't seem to start". "Hmm, are you here to confess your feelings?" I asked bluntly. She quickly denied that and said "You're Cujo Coley. You used to go to Holy Rosary Elementary and were in Grade 1 M, Grade 2 G, Grade 3 B, Grade 4 C, Grade 5 C and Grade 6 A. People used to make fun of your name a lot when you were a kid right Cujo? ".

It felt like my heart stopped for a brief moment. I started shaking as I looked at June beside me. "How… How did you know that?" I asked panicking inside. June suddenly became dark and said "Do you really want to know? You won't remember if I told you" said June.
"I don't remember? Come on tell me how you knew about my actual name that I've kept secret for so long" I asked dying to know.
June went inside her top pocket and showed me a picture of someone from my past. Someone that was always a target, a victim, an idiot and most of all a weakling. When I saw the picture of a little blonde hair girl blindfolded and tied to a chair with tears running down her eyes covered in bruises all over her face my heart started to ache. I lowered my head ashamed of myself and how unlucky I am for my past to haunt me again.

I stayed silent waiting for June to say something but it seems like she was also waiting for me to say something. The classroom was filled with silence until she took out a kitchen knife and held it in her hand.
"So you called me here for revenge. Why didn't you do it sooner? Shawn will find out that you're the one that killed me in a heartbeat if you go through with it. Do you want to get executed?" I asked. She ignored my warning and stabbed me in my right eye anyway.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
"AAAAHHHHH!"
"What!? She really went ahead and did!" I shouted in my mind.
"My eye, if fucking hurts"
"Shoulder and now the eye huh!" I cried to myself. I kicked June away from me and held my eye that was starting to bleed. "You bitch, I knew you looked familiar. How are you so cute now?" I shouted. June ran towards me enraged so I let go of my face for a moment and disarmed her. I threw the knife out through the window then I proceed to touching my stabbed eye.
"You bullies deserve everything that's coming to you" said June upsettingly. "Calm down, you can't kill me up front so let's talk about this. First off I'm not one of those bullies that did bad things to you. All I did was just laugh at the jokes the bullies made at you during class. I wasn't friends with any of them" I said seriously.
The pain from my eyes was starting to get worse so I moved closer to the exit but June blocked it off and said "That's all you need to do to get on my hit list. Cj mark my words I will kill you in such a way they couldn't possibly know it was me". "Move out of the way!" I shouted. June moved away from the door and I ran through it. I held my screaming as long as I could but once I made it downstairs I fell on the ground from the pain getting worse. Jasmine who was inside the infirmary reading a magazine heard my cry and charged outside to see what happened. When she saw me on the floor covering my bleeding eyes she wasted no time treating my eye.
After seeing it she said "You're very lucky. There's a good chance you can still use this eye. Cj tell me how did this happen to you?" I quickly replied with tears in my eyes. "June, she tried to kill me just now. She stabbed me in the eye without hesitation." Jasmine sat down on a chair and said "June? She tried to kill you huh. To think she wanted to continue the killing game. Monoplus didn't even give us a motive. Does she want to go outside that much? How disappointing, I expected much more from June".
"No, she didn't stab me in order to escape. She just wanted revenge for her past self".
"Past self? Did you two know each other? Asked Jasmine intrigued. "Ever since I saw her in Mr. Naegi's Office it felt like I knew her. She was familiar but I don't know to whom. But I do know now, she changed her appearance a ton. She wasn't this pretty back in the day" I sighed.
"Wasn't that pretty, that's rude of you to say" said Jasmine. "I'm sorry but I'm not in the mood to have manners. Anyways we went to the same elementary school together. Her actual name is Julie Watson. People used to bully her lot in elementary and many others including me used to laugh at their jokes. They always painted on her desk Loser, Ugly, Pig and lots of negative names. They throw paper at her during class. She wanted to leave the school but unluckily for her, her family works for one of her bully's parents. That bully asked his father to make sure that if Julie left the school her parents will lose their job so they made her stay there for the full six years. After three years of constantly being bullied she just stopped talking at school in general. Because no one heard her speak new people at the school would take her for a dummy and they'd bully her too. All staying quiet did was increase the numbers of predators. I watch from the sidelines and it never crossed my mind to help her ever. Hahaha come to think of it I understand why she'd want me dead. I've been in the same class as her for five years and all I did was support the bad guys".
Jasmine pinched me and it felt like a stab to the cheek "Oh I get it. She was a total loser back then but now she's the Ultimate Singer and Performer. I bet most of her bullies must feel shamed by this". "But she didn't have to try and kill you over something that happened years ago" said Jasmine. I nodded in disagreement and said "Jasmine I didn't even tell you any of the things that they do to Julie yet. The picture she showed me reminded me of the plenty of things she went through at school. She keeps a picture of her past self with her at all times. Ask her to show you it and you'll see what I mean. I feel bad".
"As you should for not helping her" said Jasmine. She punched me in the eye. "Ouch! The Fuck Jasmine!" I screamed.
"Watch you language with me little boy" said Jasmine. I sighed "She said that she'll find a way to murder me in a way no one can pin point it to her so watch out. If I die then vote for her". At that moment June walked inside the Infirmary still with an upsetting look on her face. My heart started racing again as I met danger once more. All I could do is look at Jasmine and hope that she doesn't leave me alone with June.
"Hey June, Cj told me about you stabbing his eye and about your sad past. If you want to kill him go right ahead I won't stop you" said Jasmine. "Wow thanks" I thought to myself. "I won't do it in front of you. You'll just tell everyone when it's time for the class trial" said June. "Do you think killing Cj will make yourself feel better? Those dark days have vanished now haven't they? What's the point of revenge? Cj wasn't even one of the main bullies" said Jasmine. "I don't care, to me anyone who was in my class was a bully" said June.
"We're inside a killing game Julie. Stop your nonsense and let's be friends" I said. "Julie? Friends? Now you're asking me huh" she replied.
"I don't know what you want me to say. I'm in the wrong for not helping you when I could've but look at you now. You're a beautiful young lady who has a bright future now".
June sat down on a chair and said "I've taken my revenge on all of people who constantly made fun of me and treat me like pig but I still don't feel satisfied. I'm surprised that I'm only just remembering this hatred I feel for oppressors.
"Too bad" said Jasmine.
"I can't believe this. The girl I have a crush on wants me dead. Julie's so different from the way she used to be. It's astonishing. If I teach my child one thing I'll make sure it will be not to bully others. You might drive them to do something drastic to you or to themselves" I thought to myself. Before too long I started crying while I looked into June's cold eyes.
She looked so cold towards me I could tell that we were never meant to be. "I see, you hate me that much. I know more than anyone here how much you've been through. I won't beg for your forgiveness but please just think rationally. That's all I ask".
Jasmine pinched me on the cheek and said "Nah uh, you two should become friends. That's what you should do. Turn a blind eye on what happened in the past and talk to each other". June exited the room once she heard those insane words coming from Jasmine.
When she left the room I asked Jasmine "Do you think that's possible?"
"Of course, I'll help you two out. I don't see how I'll sleep at night if you died by June's hand while I could've helped prevented it" said Jasmine.
Jasmine bandaged my right eye and said "I'm sorry Cj; your eye didn't deserve this". I nodded and took some rest. Two hours later Alisa and Shawn charged inside the infirmary with worried look on their faces.
Shawn put the bag of herbs at the corner of the room while Alisa marched up to me and showed me the knife she found outside the main building with blood on it. "Cj, what happened to your eye? Was it this knife that did it?" asked Alisa.
"Yes it did" I replied.
"Who did it!?" Alisa demanded to know.
"June, don't worry though it was an accident" said Jasmine. "Don't lie to me; I know the stab was deliberate. Be honest she tried to murder you didn't she" said Alisa seriously. Jasmine sighed and stated "He's not dead so relax. I resolved the issue already so don't go fueling the fire that's just starting to calm down". "So is his eye going to be okay?" asked Shawn.
"Yeah, don't worry, although it'll have to remain close for a while" said Jasmine. "Okay that's good to hear" said Shawn relieved. "I guess you'll have to be left out on our investigation then" said Alisa disappointedly. "Wait no I don't, my eyes aren't killing me like earlier. I'm sure I can walk around" I said reassuringly. "That's actually not true at all. My eye still hurts like crazy but for right now I feel more comfortable being around Alisa and Shawn than anyone else". "Fine then let's go Cj" said Shawn.
"Is it okay if we take him?" Alisa asked Jasmine. "I don't care. Take him if you want, I wanted to continue reading anyway" said Jasmine.
While Alisa, Shawn and I went and investigate around the school the topic about me and June popped up so I explained to them what happened. When I was finished Shawn said "That's harsh man. Bullying sucks, I used to be bullied a lot too when I was younger than but not as bad as June. The most that happened is that they'd take my money and leave me alone for the rest of the day".
"So that's June's true colors huh. A crazy murderer who wants revenge" stated Alisa. "Murderer, I didn't say anything about that" I said. "You didn't have to" said Alisa.
We looked in the new areas and in the old ones but no dice. We didn't find anything useful for our escape. Our last stop was checking the dorm rooms. We decided to start with Mark's room but for some reason we couldn't open it. "The door's locked. Why?" asked Shawn. "Monoplus appeared right then and there and said "I just locked them, from here on out I forbid anyone to enter a dead person's room. Check your MonoID; I made sure to update the rules to make it official".
"Jeez, not cool man. I even went inside Zoey's room yesterday" I stated. "Too bad, that's your first and last chance of going in there" said Monoplus. "Why did you add that rule all of a sudden?" asked Alisa. "None of your business, the real question is when are you planning on cutting that long hair of yours?" asked Monoplus. Alisa glared at him and he disappeared right away. "Stupid puppy" she mumbled to herself.
Someone touched my head from behind so I quickly turned around to see who it was. The two siblings Fei and Sue greeted "Hello"
"What's up" I replied.
They stared at me for a full twenty seconds before they asked "Who stabbed you in the eye?"
Alisa jumped in and told them about how June stabbed me. She probably guessed that I was going to lie to them. Sue said "Damn, Don't worry Cj; I'll try my best never to leave you and June alone.". Fei nodded in support of what she said. Alisa took Fei's hand and asked "DO you still have that USB drive that you took from Mark's room. I really want to see it". Fei replied "Sorry, Monoplus took it from me right after the class trial. I regret showing it out to everyone now that it's been taken away" said Fei sadly.
"So in the end I accomplished nothing today" said Alisa.
"No, you hung out with us so that's already a win. The more we hang out together the closer we get and the closer we get the better" said Shawn. "Friends huh, I guess it wasn't a total loss then" smiled Alisa.
"Anyways I'm going to make dinner now" said Alisa taking her leave. Before she left the dorm Shawn shouted to her "Don't forget about Shawna okay!" Alisa nodded with a wave and continued walking. I went to the dining hall where some others waited for dinner to be served.
Later on we all ate dinner and went our separate ways. The news about me and June quickly spread to everyone before night time.
The Next Day Shawn woke me up like normal and told me the team he placed me in for the tournament. "Wait we're doing that today?" I said feeling tired. "Yes, I know you've been stabbed in the shoulder and now in the eye but you have to participate in order to make a proper tournament bracket.
I yawned and asked if breakfast is ready. "Oh yeah it is, Alisa has already finished hers" answered Shawn.
We went to the dining hall where I saw June staring at me. Shawn noticed it and whispered "Hey man you really need to sort her out". "How?" I whispered back. "Become friends with her duh, that's the safest way out of this. She might come for you again" said Shawn. "That girl, I didn't know that bullying was this bad. I just thought of how funny it was" I sighed. Shawn slapped me upside the head and said "Idiot, how is that fun? I can speak from experience it's not fun at all". "Before you met up with her in the classroom she was just fine. She didn't give off a dangerous vibe at all. Bring her back to that state today you hear" said Shawn.
"Easier said than done. I don't think we should be near each other right now" I stated. "Sorry" Shawn said before walking away. "Sorry? About what?" I wondered. When I finished my breakfast Shawn announced the two man teams who'll be playing against each other this evening.

"Hey wait, why am I on two teams?" asked Ricardo. "We needed an extra team that's why so you and I have to play more matches than the others. Don't worry it's just a thirty minute game plus. Wait didn't I already tell you this" said Shawn.
"Me and June? Shawn you bastard" I thought to myself. Jasmine walked up to me and said "Don't think ill of Shawn. I'm the one that forced him to do it. Your welcome". "Jeez, that's pretty cruel" I complained. Terry asked "Hey Cj do you wanna switch? I don't think you should be on the same team as June plus I rather compete against Paul not play with him". Paul nodded in agreement. "Yes, I much rather crushing him than working together with him".
"Hey Shawn why did you pair us up with those who we hardly speak to. I thought you and I would be on a team not me and Flora" said Alisa disappointedly. "Yeah, she's right, I wanted to be with Fei" said Sue. Shawn grinned at their complaints.
"These soccer games are going to make us great friends. That's all to it" said Shawn.
"Let's meet up here again at exactly noon" said Shawn leaving the dining hall. Others started leaving with their pairs but I could tell that some of them were just outside at the doorway making sure that nothing happens between me and June.
I walked over to my teammate for the day and said "Good morning June".
"Morning" she replied.
"So uh about yesterday. I didn't actual wanted to kill you, I want you to know that" sighed June. "Huh! But you said you'll find a way on how to kill me without anyone noticing it" I said surprisingly. June showed me the picture and said "Didn't you find it strange how Monoplus didn't give us any motive to kill. The first motive for murder was specifically for Zoey and this time the motive was meant for me" said June bending the photo.
"Are you telling me that your picture is the motive for murder this time?" I asked. "Yes, I didn't remember anything about myself being bullied in the past until I saw this photo. In fact I had no idea that I was constantly being treated like dirt. No wonder I don't talk to my parents anymore. The moment I took a look at this photo that Monoplus gave me I started to remember a whole bunch of things. I was enraged by all of it so I act without thinking and tried to kill you. I don't know how it's possible for a picture to have this effect but it did".
I went on my knees and said "I'm sorry; I know you looked familiar but never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed that you're Julie. You've been through a lot at school and I feel bad for not helping you when I could've". I stayed on my knees with no plan on standing back up if June didn't want me to.
She nodded and sighed "Yeah okay, it's all water under the bridge. I can't believe I was going to kill someone over this. I told myself after killing that last bully two years ago that I won't stain my hands with blood ever again. That Monoplus, he filled me with so much rage yesterday I almost did it again".
"Stand up idiot" said June harshly. I stood up and asked "So can we start over?"
"No way, I forced all of my past bullies to commit suicide and in my book you're basically one of them. When we escape this place you better hope that I'm in a good mood" said June.
"Huh, I only watched from the sidelines. I don't deserve the same punishment as the others" I said. "Really, you were always there laughing at me. You were always there, you're the one I see the most. Of all the people who could've helped me you could've. You were the monitor for most of the classes and was even the Student Vice Student President. You could've helped me. In my eyes you're a bully just like the others" June replied closing her eyes.
She touched my bandaged eye and said "I may have calmed down now but I don't regret what I did".
I held her hand and said "I don't expect you to, so can we play a normal game today?" She nodded yes in reply. "Yessss, that wasn't too hard, she's not going to kill me anymore" I cheered in my mind. Monoplus appeared out of nowhere and said "Jeez June you're such a disappointment. You were supposed to kill Cj yesterday so that we could have a class trial. "Oh my god you're so useless!"
June turned her face away from the annoying puppy. "Hey is this how you instigate murders you trash?!" I shouted angrily. Monoplus grinned at me and answered "None of your business buddy just know that you're a very lucky man". Being stabbed in the shoulder and now in the eye, your luck can't get any better than this". He disappeared leaving me to wonder if I'll get injured again anytime in the future.
June and I sat beside each other in silence until everyone marched inside the dining hall ready for the tournament.
"We're ready!" shouted Shawn. Everyone followed him inside the gym where there was a poster that Xavier made showing the match ups of each team. The gym had a wide enough space for four people to play each game. Paul and Ricardo brought in two goal posts at placed them at opposite ends of the gym. Fei asked Monoplus for a soccer ball and he surprisingly got one without much trouble. "Shawn wanted this tournament and he got it. He better win" said June to herself. I agreed with her and added "He's the Ultimate Sports Star; he probably wanted to play soccer to show off his talent".
The First Match is Terry and Paul playing against Shawn and Shawna. Shawna went in front of the goal taking the goalkeeper position while Shawn decided to play offense. Paul and Terry stared at each other and said "You go in the goal, I'll play offense".
"No thanks, you go in the goal" said Terry. "Enough Terry, you know I'm better suited. Shawn has more experience than us so I'm the safer choice" said Paul. "Safer choice? Let's just take turns. I'll take the goal" sighed Terry. Paul agreed.
The match started with Paul in possession of the ball. Shawn tackles him but Paul did a back pass giving the ball to Terry. Terry ran out of the goal and started running with the ball. "Idiot! Pass it back" shouted Jasmine.
"What are you doing?!" asked Paul angrily.
Shawn went and tackled Terry but failed to take the ball from him. Terry continued to run then passed the ball back to Paul. The moment Paul's feet touched the ball he shoot it right into the goal scoring on point. Shawna stretched and said "Damn, I didn't even realize that the ball was coming".
"You should pay attention to the game then!" said Shawn.
The game resumes with Terry and Paul dominating the competition for the first half. Shawna wasn't paying attention to the game and Shawn couldn't keep possession of the ball for too long. For the entirety of the first half the points were 5 – 1 with Terry and Paul in the lead. When it was break time everyone surrounded Shawna telling her to take the game seriously.
"I didn't want to do this in the first place. Shawn's the one that's forcing his ways on others. If my team win then that means I'll have to play later. I want to go back to my room as soon as possible" said Shawna. "Fine let's get this over with then" said Shawn depressed.
The game continued and Shawn himself made a comeback. The moment Shawn took the ball from Terry he never lost it ever again. Terry left the goal twice and Shawn took the opportunity and scored. Ten minutes into the match Shawn scored ten straight goals taking the lead. By time the match was over Terry and Paul was dumb founded by what happened. It felt like they've never even touched the ball during the second half. When the game was over Shawna gritted her teeth and complained "Did you win it so that I couldn't leave here? If so then you're a jerk". "Hahahaha, you'll have to stay on till we lose. Too bad that we're on the same team" Shawn teased her.
"Shawn played so differently in the second half. He's like a national player" Alisa praised.
The other matches after that were Fei and Jasmine playing against Alisa and Flora. This match was a major surprise. Alisa looked like a pro and Flora didn't make any shoot get passed her. It was like she knew where the ball was going before Fei kicked it.
Next game was Ricardo and Sue against Xavier and Olivia. Ricardo carried his team to victory very easy. He even stated that this is his first time playing the sport.
Next was my match with Shawn and Ricardo vs. June and I. I already knew that we were going to lose but I was still planning on giving it my best.
June went in the goal while I play offense. Shawn went inside goal just to make the match a bit fair. I looked at June and wondered what she was thinking right now. "Is she any good? Back when she was called Julie she was a total klutz".
When the match started Ricardo passed me the ball. "Go and see if you can score on him. I don't think he's ever played goalkeeper before" said Ricardo. I took him up on his offer and ran with the ball and surprisingly scored rather easily. Shawn moved to the left while the ball went to the right. Shawn scratched his head embarrassingly and said "Ricardo don't give him any freebies okay". "Fine, I didn't know you were that trash in the net. Next time we're switching" said Ricardo.
Ricardo and Shawn already played a previous game so they must be a little tired" I thought to myself. When the game resumed again Ricardo quickly dribbled passed me and took a shot at June. June caught it effortlessly and quickly threw it back to me.
I wasted no time when I got the ball and pulled a fake on Shawn and scored again.
Scoring two points actually gave me a little bit of hope that we might win. Too bad that hopes disappeared once Monoplus interrupted the game and shouted.
"GAAAAAAAAAAHHH! So boring! Why hasn't anyone died yet?!" shouted Monoplus. He startled us for a moment but we retaliated. "Hey! We are in the middle of a match" said Shawn. "I wish I came here to stop the first one. Don't complain. Anyways here's the other motive since that bitch June failed me" said Monoplus.
"Motive?"
Monoplus threw photos on the ground and said "I dare you to look at them". Flora, Shawn, Olivia, Fei and Terry picked up a photo of their past selves. "These are just photos. How is this the motive?" asked Terry. Monoplus sticked out his tongue and said "Just keep looking at it. Some of you are in for a treat. You'll remember something that you have forgotten but only some of you though. The rest will just have an embarrassing photo.
"It's a photo that gave me my memories back. Memories of me getting bullied. I don't recommend looking at them for too long" said June. Shawn picked up his photo and said "No worries, I don't have anything worth killing for" said Shawn. "Me either" added Terry picking up his photo. Everyone else including me ended ignored June's warning and picked up the photo of ourselves. We were too tempted to see if we would've remembered anything drastic.
I looked at my photo for about thirty seconds before June dragged it from me and tore it into tiny little pieces. "Hey!"
"You're welcome" she said. Monoplus disappeared and we continued our soccer tournament finals.
When Monoplus disappeared he updated the school rules he added "No playing inside the gym".
The vibe for anymore matches was ruined so we all went to the arcade and started playing there instead. When the day was over I felt way better about me and June than I was yesterday. Jasmine congratulated me by ripping off the bandage from my eye. "I should change this now, you should be able to open back your eyes in another day or two" said Jasmine.
"Thanks, Hey if I really did die by June's hands do you….. Nevermind" I stated.
While Jasmine and I were talking to each other Monoplus brought Shawn to a corner and said "I'm very concerned for you young man. You can't just go around and trying to unite everyone. Let them be in there own groups, you may not know it but you're going to give them deeper despair if you continue on like this". Shawn frowned and said "You're nothing like Monokuma. I'll do what I want. I don't see how everyone being friends with everyone is a bad thing. I won't make the situation you put us in control us. Never" Shawn responded.
