Outside the cafe's main entrance, vehicles lined the curb. Two cars separated Wu Li from Li San, each taking cover in front of a different vehicle, while the group that had been with the burly black man had parked their car on the opposite side of the street, between Wu Li and Li San's positions.
After hearing the gunfire, the opposition immediately retreated back into their car for cover, it took them a few seconds to realize they had stumbled into a street shootout.
Their car doors were still open, allowing the two muscular men inside just enough visibility to see Wu Li and Chen Gang across the street, and through the gaps between vehicles, to spot the burly black man lying motionless outside the cafe's door.
The two glared at Wu Li with venomous eyes, observed the several gunmen rushing towards them, and then looked back at the lifeless black man on the ground. After exchanging a few words with their driver, their vehicle suddenly started.
