The fire screen at the gate of B City burned for over an hour, attracting the whole base's population early in the morning to witness this "flame feast."
Initially, someone quickly organized Water Element Ability Users to extinguish the fires, but everyone was soon shocked to discover that the fires couldn't be put out at all!
Whether they used water or tried to cover it with sand and soil, the water columns and flows were quickly evaporated, and the sand did nothing whatsoever.
And what was with that lush vegetation at the entrance? Why were there so many people tied up on it?
The vines were tough; base guards ran over to try to cut them with metal blades, but after several slashes, they only left a mark on the surface of the vines.
