Eva Bell glanced at the suddenly quiet dining room, her face sour, and sat directly in the center.
Brandon Piers looked at his mother, then lowered his head to continue comforting Teddy. When the little guy smiled, the atmosphere in the room was restored, as if the earlier disturbance had never happened.
But at the large dining table, everyone was getting along comfortably except for Eva Bell. She felt like a transparent person, completely ignored.
This feeling made Eva very uncomfortable. She deliberately made noises, but everyone still acted as if they couldn't hear her.
