Nanami follows behind Ayame. They walk through the door into the castle. Hachiro closes the door behind them.
Hachiro: You already know where to go?
Ayame: They have meetings in the same room. They have never had a meeting outside of the living room.
They walk away and Hachiro stops following them.
Nanami: Why do your parents want you back so bad?
Ayame takes a turn into a different hallway. They stop walking.
Ayame: I'll tell you since you're like a little sister to me.
Ayame pats Nanami's head.
Ayame: They're going broke. They were going to sell me off to another kingdom. They would get enough money from selling me to restore their businesses.
Nanami: How could they sell their own daughter?!
Ayame: They think it'll be fine because I'll be married off to some rich prince charming snob.
Nanami: What are you going to do? Can't Hachiro just beat us up if we try to leave?
Ayame: I'm just going to talk to them. Make them see my perspective.

Son Goku: Kenzo, one more time.
Kenzo: I…
Kenzo is breathing heavy. He looks tired, like he is completely drained.
Kenzo: I don't think I have enough chakra…
Son Goku: Then scrape the bottom of your chakra reservoir and get enough chakra to pull it off.
Kenzo makes a few hand signs.
Kenzo:...
Kenzo drops to the ground. Son Goku shakes his head.
Son Goku: What am I going to do with this useless sack of flesh.
Kenzo wakes up in his bed. His body is sore. He struggles to lift up his arm.
Kenzo: Damn! I overstressed my body.
Son Goku: You're fine. You rested all night.
Kenzo: Do I seem fine? I can't move!
Son Goku: Your body is so weak you cannot move after one day of hard training.
Kenzo: We have been training for days. I've been collapsing while we train!
Son Goku: Why stop now?
Kenzo: Because I can't move!
Son Goku: That's not true.
Son Goku walks over to Kenzo. He palms Kenzo's stomach. Kenzo feels like he got some of his energy back. Kenzo stands up. His body still feels a little sore, but now he can move around.
Son Goku: Today, you will learn to use Kirin.
They travel to the training grounds. Son Goku is pacing back and forth.
Son Goku: I think the reason you can't use the Kirin-
Kenzo: Is it because I'm just not strong enough. That jonin we had to fight could use it all he wanted.
Son Goku: You're close. You can't use it because you don't have enough chakra. You are trying to use only some of your chakra to use a move that is going to take a lot of chakra. You need to put all the chakra you can into the move.
Kenzo slowly does the hand signs. Kenzo takes a deep breath.
Kenzo: Lighting Style: Kirin!
Son Goku: Chare it Kenzo!
Kenzo: I am!
Son Goku: Remember all the times you had to fight an enemy stronger than you. Remember when you fought the Viking. You had to do everything you could to win.
Some lightning appears in Kenzo's hand.
Son Goku: All three of your teammates worked to takedown that jonin. You all had to push yourselves to your limits to win. Now, you have to do everything you can to become strong enough to become a ninja in the tournament.
Kenzo: Kirin!
A giant lighting dragon comes down from the sky and hits the ground. Kenzo starts falling to the ground smiling.
Kenzo: Yes…
Kenzo passes out.

Ray is at his favorite training area. He sees the giant lighting dragon.
Ray: Man, it's so cool when it isn't trying to kill you.
Ray puts out his hand with the diamonds on it.
Ray: But I'm cooler!
His hand starts absorbing the tree. The tree rips out of the ground and breaks into little bits. Ray looks at his hand, then at the tree, and repeatedly switches between the two.
Ray: That was awesome! What would that do to someone's body? I have to test it out! I need to find a cat!
Ray looks around the town. He finds a cat walking on the rooftops. Ray climbs up on the roof and chases the cat. Eventually he catches the cat and brings it back to the training grounds. That cat constantly tries to scratch him.
Ray: Don't deny fate cat!
Ray puts the cat on the ground. It tries to run away and Ray puts out his hand. The cat suddenly starts moving. The cat starts meowing loudly. Then the cat explodes blood. Ray's face looks ecstatic.
Ray: I am so going to win this tournament!

Ayame and Nanami sit down on the couch. Ayame's father sits in a big black chair. Ayame's mother stands next to the chair.
Ayame's Father: I know we haven't always had the best relationship Ayame, but it's time we move on now.
Ayame: Uh huh.
Ayame's Mother: Because you need to marry Shun.
Ayame: No.
Ayame's Father: No?!
Ayame: I refuse to marry him.
Ayame's Father: You do not have the power to refuse anything young lady!
Ayame: I think I do.
Ayame's Mother: They have guards. You won't be able to leave.
Ayame: What if I refuse to have a kid. Are the guards going to make me do that too?
Ayame's parents look furious.
Ayame's Father: You will marry him and love him. This is bigger than you.
Ayame: No, it's smaller than me. It's about a broke old man and woman who are trying to sell whatever they have for a quick buck. It's pitiful.
Ayame's Father: What are you going to do then? Leave?! We'll lock you up in the cellar.
Ayame: You can't even pay guards to keep me in there. The only person you have left is Hachiro, and you have to make him do everything else for you. Why do you think my brothers left. You made them your servants once you had to fire everyone. Maybe the whole family could have worked together to save the business, but you decided you could use us instead.
Ayame stands up. Nanami stands up right after her.
Ayame: You can lock me up, but I'll just leave. Now you can ponder everything that has led you to where you are now.
Nanami and Ayame leave the room. Hachiro opens the door for them as they leave.
Hachiro: How was your visit?
Ayame: Terrible.
Nanami and Ayame start walking outside.
Nanami: I guess you don't have a good relationship with your parents, but what about your brothers?
Ayame: They spite me because I was the first to leave. Don't worry about that. You're my little sister now. That's all that matters. Just be happy your parents aren't like mine.
