Suddenly, four small portals appeared and gathered energy, facing the others' backs.
He recalled these small portals, it was the same one that the guardian tower summoned.
Recognizing that a beam would be fired from each of them, Rex's will to protect fueled his body with strength. He lunged at April and Linthia in a split second and pulled them out of the way.

Once the beams were fired, Linthia and April were already out of their tracks.
Viora's power shielded her perfectly, while Crimoria was fast enough to react.

But Rex grunted in pain as there was a fifth one from behind that aimed at him, and through bad luck, the beam that should've struck Viora was deflected by her power, and pierced his calf.
Realizing what happened, the others rushed to check on him.
