I had been lost in thought so long that by the time I removed myself from my unpleasant memories, we had already reached one of the islands. As we set foot and hove on the lush, tropical, almost rainforest like retreat, he would let me down. Looking around, it was familiar, comfortable, it reminded me of where I was from, Jamaica, it was beautiful. I wasn't disillusioned though, we were many hundreds of feet above sea level, and looking at the waterfall that cascaded from the island above and crashed onto the island below, I was reminded that I was not on earth either.
"Is this it?"
"Ha..."
The thing would walk with purpose and reason, and so I'd follow in its shadow. The place was surprisingly normal, well, given that I looked at it independent of its location. The trees were large but surprisingly normal, the air was dense with not only mana but also humidity, it was comforting.
