Later on through the night, Leo and Tony carry a drunk Pauly out of the bar to his car.
"ChEeRs To mY BeSt FrIeNd...LEO FUCKING SALVATORE!" Pauly drunkenly says.
Both Leo and Tony chuckle.
"I guess some things never change. Guy still can't hold his liquor." Leo says.
"Yeah. You'd think a guy his size could handle a few drinks." Tony replies.
They put Pauly in the back seat while he lays down, drunkenly mumbling to himself.
"God, I think that heavy bastard through out my back. I need a smoke after all that." Tony says.
He offers Leo a cigarette as he puts one in his mouth.
"No thanks. I don't smoke." Leo says.
Tony shrugs, lighting up his cigarette while Leo looks up at the stars.
"Say, where'd you learn to fight like that anyway? The army?" Tony asks.
Leo stays silent for a moment, remembering the old man from his past.
"Nah. I learned to fight when I was a kid, from an old timer who took me in after I left the orphanage for the last time." Leo says.
Tony nods, blowing out smoke.
"Did Pauly ever tell you about our line of work?" Tony asks.
"No, he didn't. But judging by the fancy suits, the large amounts of money, and the guns you both are carrying, I'm guessing you're not delivering furniture." Leo says.
Tony is surprised that Leo noticed his gun, but smiles from being impressed.
"Tomorrow morning, be back here. My boss and Luigi are tight, like brothers. He conducts business here from time to time. Me and Pauly will introduce you, and maybe you can get yourself a job. That is- if you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty."
Leo thinks for a moment before answering.
"That won't be a problem. My hands are already filthy." Leo says.
Tony chuckles and starts to walk to his car.
"Great. See you tomorrow, make sure Pauly gets home safe."
Leo smirks as he closes Pauly's door and drives him home.
The next morning in a graveyard, Leo stands infront of a headstone with the name David Cain. As he stands there, he is approached by a woman and a little girl.
"Leo?" She says.
Leo looks over and sees the woman
"Leila? Hey, it's been awhile."
The two share a hug.
"I know. When did you get back?" She asks.
"Uh, two days ago. Sorry I didn't tell you, things have been a little hectic."
Leo then looks down and sees the little girl holding her hand.
"Is this Amanda?" Leo asks.
"Yes, it is. I've been telling her about her uncle Leo forever."
Leo smiles, kneeling down and waving at her.
"Hey. I'm Leo, it's nice to meet you."
Leo tries to give her a high five, but the little girl hugs him instead. Leo is surprised by this but smiles.
"She's definitely your kid alright." Leo jokingly says.
Leila and Leo then stare on at the headstone.
"I knew you'd come here the first chance you got."
Leo smirks.
"The old man took me in, put up with my crap, treated me like family. The least I can do is visit him while he's in the ground." Leo says.
Leila smiles.
"You know, he said that you were an idiot for enlisting." She says.
Leo chuckles.
"Yeah, he made sure I knew that before I left."
"He also said that he was really proud of you."
Leo smiles.
"He made sure I knew that too." Leo says.
He then looks down at his watch.
"I gotta go. But- we should grab dinner. The three of us." Leo says.
"Definitely." Leila replies.
Leo nods and walk away.
A few minutes later, Leo walks into Luigi's bar and sees Luigi and the same beautiful woman who was serving drinks last night. The woman sees Leo and smiles.
"Well, if it isn't the big hero from last night. You know that was pretty amazing what you did last night."
Leo chuckles.
"I just got lucky, that's all."
"Well, I had my money on the other guys." She says.
Leo laughs.
"Sorry to disappoint. I'm Leo Salvatore."
Leo offers his hand, with the woman soon shaking it.
"Sarah Marino."
Leo takes a little interest in the last name.
"Marino? Isn't that-"
"Yep. You're looking at Luigi's one and only daughter."
"No shit. Well, it's nice to meet you, Sarah." Leo says.
Sarah smiles.
"It's nice to meet you too Leo. Pauly and Tony are in the back waiting for you. Must be important, they're not alone." Sarah says.
"Thanks." Leo says.
Leo walks to the back and through a door, Seeing Pauly.
"Hey, Leo. Seven minutes early, the boss is gonna love that." Pauly says with a laugh.
"Yeah, right. Say Pauly, what is this job anyway?" Leo asks.
"Don't worry about all that, just come on in and let me do the talking, alright? You're not exactly a people person." Pauly says.
"Fuck you." Leo replies.
"See?" Pauly says.
The two walk into a secret room full of men with fancy suits, and guns. As every turns to look at Leo and Pauly, Tony walks over to speak to his boss, the Don, Vito Cicero.
"Boss, that's the guy me and Pauly was telling you about. Leo Salvatore." Tony says.
Vito stares at Leo for a moment, before walking over to him, with nothing but silence between them.
"Your the one who took on five men twice his size, huh?" Vito says.
"Yes sir, this is-" Pauly starts to say before being inturupted by the Don raising his hand.
"The man can speak for himself. Isn't that right, Mr. Salvatore?"
Leo clears his throat.
"Yes sir." Leo says.
"So, five guys all by yourself. Most guy's who'd take that fight are either stupid or crazy."
"More like capable, sir." Leo replies.
The silence in the room becomes more intense, but soon ends when Cicero and the others laugh. He then puts his hand on Leo's shoulder.
"That is a good answer, kid. Not a lot of guys would do what you did last night, no matter how pretty that girl was. Very commendable."
"Thank you, sir." Leo says.
"So, Tony and Pauly told me you're looking for work. Well, I do need guys like you. Why don't you go with them to collect. When you get back, we'll talk about what's next for you."
Leo nods and follows Pauly and Tony out of the room, ready to start a new chapter in his life.
