After the children had left, Ange released a Ghost Tourer, which stealthily sneaked into the ruins, passed through the crisscrossing bar stones, crawled through a low lintel, and arrived at a descending staircase.
The Ghost Tourer slipped between the gaps of the staircase, seeping down like a wisp of smoke.
Below the staircase was a commonly seen tomb chamber, low, dark, and damp. Some bar stones had been moved down, elevated, and covered with dry straw to make beds, and even the stone coffins were covered with dry straw.
There were still remains in the stone coffins, and the Ghost Tourer could sense the breath of death. However, the homeless did not care, sharing the straw-covered beds with the remains. Two children were sound asleep on the piles of straw.
The woman was busy organizing the other children; some were gathering dry firewood, some were carrying buckets to fetch water, and others were cleaning.
