Soul Energy and Holy Power, in essence, both belong to the realm of spiritual forces. In theory, they can be converted into one another.
But theory is just theory. In practice, the two are diametrically opposing forces. When Soul Energy strikes a holy body, it causes bonus damage, and when Holy Power strikes the Undead, it too inflicts bonus damage.
Although, under Ange's Divine Power System, the bonus damage of Holy Power against the Undead has been nullified, the two still remain absolutely distinct energies. For the Little Angel to simply embrace them lightly and convert Soul Energy into a Holy Spirit Angel—this is truly miraculous.
But then again, what is the Pope's job? Isn't it precisely to find faith-based explanations for such miracles?
The Little Angel embodies the Supreme Holy Spirit, and Ange is the Lord of the God of Light. Their every action is a miracle. The Pope's duty is to provide a 'rational' explanation for every single one of their actions.
