The brilliant, blinding flash of the Emerald Kingdom's teleportation array shattered the oppressive gloom of the Obsidian Kingdom's southern coastline.
When the white light abruptly vanished, leaving behind the sharp scent of ozone and crackling magic, the infiltration team found themselves standing upon a jagged, unforgiving expanse of black volcanic rock. The air here was drastically different from the warm, floral-scented breezes of the Emerald Capital. It was incredibly crisp, biting with a freezing, damp chill, and heavily laden with the scent of ancient sea salt and churning, dark water.
"By the heavens, it is absolutely freezing," Fox complained immediately, his teeth chattering as the harsh coastal winds whipped his messy blond hair wildly around his goggles. He quickly tightened the heavy woollen travel cloak around his shoulders. "I always forget how thoroughly miserable the geography of Raven's ancestral home truly is."
