The Banded Butterfly, a type of insect Star Beast, enjoys nectar and generally inhabits environments that are lush, humid, and densely forested. An individual Banded Butterfly is about the size of an adult's fist. They are social creatures, with group sizes ranging from about 500 to 1000. A single Banded Butterfly poses little threat, as their combat power is quite low, but they seldom act alone. Typically, they operate in groups of 50 to 100, and sometimes the entire colony mobilizes. Like the saying goes, even ants can overwhelm an elephant—a collective of Banded Butterflies can be terrifying.
Consequently, only powerful Mechanical Warriors dare not provoke them carelessly.
Compared to Star Beasts like Carrion Rats, Long-Mouthed Pigs, and long-eared rabbits that actively attack humans, Banded Butterflies are relatively agreeable, as they won't launch an offensive against humans unless necessary.
