"So, tell me...what else do you like and don't like, apart from eating alone."
Ji-hun started the conversation, looking at her finish the last piece of dumpling.
"I, like, I like.." She paused for a minute and spoke, "I like many things like food! I like food and balloons...wait a minute, but why am I telling you my likes and dislikes?" She paused.
Ji-hun chuckled again, "Because we are friends , aren't we?"
"No, not yet!"
"But why not?"
"Because, you don't know about my likes and dislikes." Nitya shrugged, as if it was a simple corollary.
"So, what was I doing just now?"
"Trying to ask about my likes and dislikes!"
"Exactly," Ji-hun grinned as she proved his point, while Nitya stared at him for a minute. The exchange she had contributed to while being slightly zoned out, had left her totally confused. She managed to scream at him while also suppressing her volume at the same time, trying to maintain the decorum of the hospital and conveying her fake anger as well.
