Some movement, accompanied by cold sensations, disturbed Khan's sleep, pulling him out of the nightmares and awakening him. The second long round of passion had pushed him into another unexpected rest, but he hadn't been the first to wake up that time.
Liiza's blushing face expanded in Khan's vision as soon as he opened his eyes. She was lying on top of him, supporting herself on her elbows while playing with his hair. Her legs also went up and down while she joyfully focused on her task.
"What are you doing with my hair?" Khan asked, feeling the occasional, methodical pull on his head.
"Braids," Liiza replied, remaining focused on the job. "I always wanted to, but your hair was never long enough back then."
"Why braids?" Khan chuckled.
"They are customary," Liiza explained. "Most Niqols wear them."
"I can't cut my hair anymore," Khan guessed, "Can I?"
"No," Liiza immediately confirmed before smiling brightly and tilting her head. "Done!"
