I got back from work and Angel was there looking nervous. I chuckled, "You look like Sembi when he applied for a job in the UN." He gave me silly smile, "Do have any job openings? Is there a possibility that you could get us a job?" I tilted my head slightly, "Did you say 'We'. Can you please elaborate?" He gave me pause and wrinkled his face, "Diana's dad and I are looking for a job" I smiled, "Three of my personal security are retiring. You two can take place so Diana can spend more time with her uncle and her dad." This made Angel smile bright and his eyes shone like the fourth of July fireworks. He thanked me profusely and ran as fast as his legs would allow.
The next morning I was having breakfast when Diana walked dragging her feet. She looked bored like she didn't want to go to school. She sat down and looking like she rather be in bed sleeping peacefully. Her father walked in and her sleep dissipated. She looked happy thinking that she is skipping school but he shook his head, "I am here to take you to school." She lowered her head, "Mommy takes me to school." He smiled, "Mommy gave me a job here so I can be close to you. I will drive you to and from school and everywhere else if she allows." She looked at me, "Mommy can I skip school today?" I sprayed the hot chocolate that I was about to swallow, "Take it back"
She apologized and finished her food.
He drove her to school and she sat on my lap. I asked her if she was bullied and she said yes. I walked to the principal's office and had the bully punished. His family came and tried to dissuade me but I showed them that being bully means the person has no character. He was suspended from school for a few months. His father was a lawyer and he tried everything he knew but he was just one lawyer. I had an army that ripped him to shreds.
In the end, he was almost expelled from the school and his father had to apologize. He had spend the next six months in suspension.
I walked out after my night shower and saw that Princess was having a deep intense conversation with Ken Doll, Angel and Shark (Diana's dad). I got close and heard her talk about me. She had her chest puffed and nose in the air as she explained everything. The rest of the security listened intentionally. They seemed to nod their heads and agree with her stories. She glowed, "She has helped orphans find new families, she has helped find soldiers and brought them home. She helps people find jobs, she helps people who have been abused, she helps people who have trouble with medical care and much much more. She is a supermom." I chuckled, "Supermom? I doubt that." My head of security Adam was the first to speak, "We have seen first hand how you have helped people. You are appreciated because you have given your entire life to helping others. So calling you a superhero is not a crime." I was about to say something when my assistant walked in, "Here is the list of people Indigo checked. They are perfect parents who will raise those kids and make them productive members of society." Adam snickered, "I rest my case" I blushed red, "I want to make sure I don't have another Alexa" Phillip gave me a progress report on the internship program, "You were right about Sophie. She has no aspirations for hard work. She is the favor for a raise type. I called HR and explained her situation. We won't see her again." I gave him a nod and asked him about his brother. He smiled, "The only thing he lost was his leg. He and his wife are moving to New York and will join us in Storm Season." I nod my head and wished him good night. He did the same as he gently pat Princess on her head and walked back to his Ducati. I picked Diana and carried her for her bath and sleep. She whined, "Mommy five more minutes please. Tomorrow is Saturday." I laughed, "Nice try" I picked up my phone and proved tomorrow is Thursday and she made a face but went along.
