The faster speed of travel was immediately noticeable. Wind and light rain beat at him much harder than before, as if they wanted to push him off the undead's shoulders.
When the lightning occasionally flashed, Ning could see the sight of the trees moving in the distance. With that, he could see that it was much faster.
Alongside that, Ning also felt a noticeable lack of sound compared to before. What was once a constant jumble of noise was now more of a droning sound.
The flatness of the running surface seemed to help with the sound as well. Maybe that would help the people sleep better.
That was unlikely, although it should help with the constant bobbing of the carriages. There shouldn't be more movement there anymore.
