'Yes she's gonna be your fellow student'
The words that her teacher told her, the human she was nursing back to health will become part of their big family,
Hannah left the room and began to tell the others about the news, about the fact that a new member will join the healer house and it's the human child
Knowing about the news....
The humakey's formed a circled with Mandell in the center
"Its a child"
"We got a junior"
"oh, its doesn't have any fur"
The humakey's chattered with each other their eyes was staring down where a human child was standing still not moving a single inch
Absorbed in their conversation delighted that there's a new member of their family, only a number of humakey noticed mandell's condition
One of the few that notice it, kneeled down and asked the child
"Are you okay?"
Hearing the humakey Mandell looked up and slowly lower his head when he realized that the one talking is kneeling down
"Yes I'm okay"
Hearing the responce, the humakey stood up and shouted
"Break!, break!, break!, put in some space"
The humakey started to push the humakey's away from the child some didn't resist and continued talking with the others while their body was sliding away from the person their talking with
"What's wrong?" A humakey asked when he felt someone trying to push him away
"look at the human" The humakey pushing him whispered while looking at the unmovable child
"let me" He sway the hands of the humakey pushing him and clear his throat before speaking
"My name is Wan, but you can call me brother, what's yours?"
Hearing the causal way Wan talks the one that was pushing hin earlier gives a thumbs up
Seeing the humakey in awe Wan nodded and looked at the human waiting for a reply
"Its Mandell"
"Mandell, it's a beautiful name"
Hearing the humakey, mandell answerd blandly
"yes it is"
"huh?"
Recieving a response he was not expecting Wan looked away toward the humakey's having a chat
"Wait a little" Wan said before walking straight to the humakey's and grabbed one of them by the neck
The humakey tried to to struggle but give up in an instant
Wan walk toward Mandell with a humakey behind him having a hard time breathing cause of wan's hand in its throat
"Dude did you want me to die!" The humakey shouted the moment he break free
Wan hide behind the angered humakey and whispered
"Your turn"
"huff huff, my turn?" He's angered expression turned to confusion
"below" Wan behind him whispered
Following his instruction he looked down just to see the child tugging on its blanket not taking a single step
"I got it, but I'm gonna kill you when this is over"
He said not forgetting what Wan did to him
The humakey cleared his throat and said
"Hewwow cutie what's your name"
Hearing the squeaky voice Wan froze while the humakey who is watching from the sideline gives a thumbs up
'Being casual wouldn't work so acting like a child to make a kid open up, What a genius strategy!'
But the Child didn't reply and just cover itself with the blanket and started to walk back to its room
"Wha, it didn't even make her smile, what a fearsome child" The humakey muttered
And Wan behind him replied
"I know, human child is really different from us"
Finally noticing the child, the humakey's thinking of a way to make the child close to them saw the child itself go inside their master's room
All watch the child enter the room before going back to discuss the way to make a kid get close to you
"I didn't put my plan into action yet"
"Tomorrow it is"
"What gift should I buy"
"What about a doll?"
"That could work"
While the humakey's was talking with each the three who actually talked to Mandell formed a group
"Guys we need to find a way of talking that can make the child be intimate with us" A humakey said
"Intimate, What about we try flirting" Wan suggested
"No, were gonna break the kids heart if she suddenly confess to us" A humakey said seeing the future where the kid will see him in a romantic way
Imagining it happening to themself the other two humakey nod in agreement
After having a conversation with her brother Madell goes to the second floor seeing everyone present
This is the first she see her students use the time of their break time inside the healing house and not outside entertaining themself
The moment his sister left the room did the small child entered
"That's fast?, done exploring" Sire asked
Maybe Mandell didn't heard him but he walk straight to his room without looking at sire
Inside the room, Mandell placed the blanket on the stone bed and sigh deeply
'Hewwo' Remembering the certain humakey who said it to him
"Hehhee,it sound like he inhaled helium" Mandell muttered before laying on the stone bed
Seeing the humakey's surrounding him felt suffocating, and it also made him faintly remember the time a gorilla tortured and swallowed him whole
Mandell grabbed his trembling hands and muttered
"Don't be scared, They won't attack you for no reason" He said to himself before grabbing the gift he recieved
'Appraisal' Mandell thought
After using the only skill he knows how to use as he was scared to try the others who knows maybe it becomes uncontrollable or something.....or maybe he's just thinking something bad will really happen
Mandell put the necklace on and felt the heat trapped inside his body, instantly disappeared
"They really wouldn't attack me for no reason"
In the entrance of the healer house Hannah could be seen holding a small wooden box hesitating to enter the building
Walking left and right, when the door was already in front of her
After walking back in forth, for a minute or so, Hannah took a deep breath and opened the door
Silence, no patient lining up waiting for treatment no humakey guarding the door, no one is in sight and the first floor is as silent as it can be
"No patient....the others isn't here then" Hannah muttered thinking that the others is enjoying this unexpected break
But the noice coming upstairs prove her wrong when she arrived at the second floor she saw all her piers discussing with each other, while a group of three humakey was in the corner
"Welcome back"
Madell greeted her with a smile, seeing her master she smiled back and said
"Its good to be back"
"Mandell didn't do anything rude did she?" hannah asked
"No need to worry, she didn't do anything bad"
Madell reassured her, knowing that hannah is thinking that if the child did anything bad, blames will be put on her cause she's the one responsible for teaching the kid
"where's mandell, Master" Hannah asked
"In her room"
"I thought-
Madell then said predicting what hannah was about to say
"You thought she will be here socializing?"
"Yes" Hannah replied
"Leader, what's that box behind you?" A humakey asked
Hearing it, Hannah step back and said
"Its nothing important"
One of the humakey in the group pop his head out and shouted
"A gift for the kid am I right!?"
Hannah didn't answered and start to walk toward Madell's office
"Master" Hannah called which Madell immediately nodded to
Seeing hannah enter the room a humakey said to her master
"Teacher how can she?"
"She's the child's teacher" Madell immediately responded
"Even so that isn't fair" The humakey refuted
"If you enter now, you'll scared her ,you can talk to her tomorrow"
"right" The humakey responded
Before continuing on having a chat with her friends and a minute later the group broke and one by one they left the healer house and begin to truly enjoy their break
Madell who is watching all of it by the side saw her student leave one by one
"Your not going out sis?" Sire asked
"I don't go out that often, and focus on work" Madell responded
"I'm focused, suuuuper focused" Sarcastically said by sire
Everything is dark and the moment dexter regained consciousness a loud bang pierce though his ear
"Mandell"
A voice behind the door, different to the gentle voice calling for his name is the barbaric way the door must be knocked to sound so horrid
Behind the door was sire looking toward hannah knocking at the door which looks normal and isn't forced but the door sound like its asking for help the moment it was hit by hanna's knuckle
Bang!
Seeing the door tremble and the one causing it looks so natural sire couldn't help but lost focused on his work and stared at hannah waiting for the door to collapse
Sire regained focused when the door opened behind it Madell covered with the white blanket that is covered with dirt and fog
'The way the kid is dragging it, it's not a surprise it gotten so dirty'
Sire pondered before looking back to his work
Mandell wipe his eye before saying
"Teach, is it that time already"
"No, just want to give this to you"
Hannah said handing Mandell a wooden box which looks small when hannah was holding it but the moment it reach his hand it's surprisingly heavy
"uff thank you" Mandell said with his feet slowly about to kneel down
"...."
Hearing the simple thanks, hannah closed the door to mandell's room
"Waiting for an hour and that's what you did" Sire said in disbelief
"Is there something wrong master's brother" Hannah said
"Yes, it's the way you address me" Sire said pulling his glasses off
"Then teacher's brother"
"That's the same, idio-, nothing"
"?, I'll take my leave" Hannah said which sire responded
"Sure"
"Almost said something I shouldn't" Sire muttered before putting his glasses back on
The paper work on the paper was lessen but it's still a lot and the papers has already taken all the space of the table
Inside Mandell's room, seeing the door immediately closed, he goes to the stone bed which took a lot of effort
All because of the thing on his hand, and trying not to let it touch the ground, as for some reason that only Mandell can understand he see putting a present on the ground to be rude
When it was finally placed on the stone bed Mandell immediately opened it
With a smile he flip the cover of the box and his facial expression changed
"Wha"
Inside the is a white dress which looks familiar, its design doesn't matter for Mandell....its a dress
'Did teach want me to wear this?....hell nah, but teach might get sad, but its a dress, but teach, but it's a dress'
Not knowing what to do he put the cover of the box on and pretended that he didn't see it
With that Mandell fall asleep with the box by his side and his blanket on the floor of the room covered with dirt and dust
Without knowing a nightmare will repeat itself
