Mandell sat at the stone bed, as he wipe his eyes off its sleeping state, he look below and saw himself at his room, it then hit him, he remembered what happened yesterday
Ma'am Madell brought two bags, one full of white worm that taste like milk, and the other is filled with wrapper made with colors you could find on a rainbow
After that is a joyful party, no beverage to make you drunk just a party, humakey's formed a crowd and told Madell what Hannah just did
Madell on the hand after her students stopped from rumbling, gave out the food,
I got handed one of each just like the others
As Mandell remembered what happened a knock was heard on the door
"Coming" He said jumping off the bed and running at the door, he opened it with no resistance and saw Madell at the front
"Ready?" She asked
Mandell stood still for a moment before answering
"Yes"
'Right, today is the day I'll go to the 'learning facility', probably a school' He pondered moving closer to Madell
"Then you should clean" Madell suggested looking at her back where Mandell was, following her every step
"Ma'am, why can't i see anyone here?" Mandell asked with his eyes roaming at the deserted state of the second floor
"There's no patient today, but this shouldn't be time for you to ask?, you need to get ready child"
"Right" He mumbled
At the first floor no one was present except for the humakey guarding the door, the place was empty, which is good as it was a place to heal people, doesn't that just mean today have zero humakey's getting injured or sick
He moved to the storage, put a bucket of water on his hair and began to scream like lava was being poured on his body
"You okay child?" Madell who is behind the door asked
"Yes, it's just cold" Mandell replied moving his leg, left to right as if he was marching
No soap, nothing to use except for water....I can manage
After getting himself all wet, using the back of the humakey cloth he was using, he wiped himself off and wear the same cloth he just used to wipe
"feels..normal" Mandell muttered holding the necklace he had, trying to check if it broke, cause he felt cold when the water hit him, but he didn't feel any sign of burning after a moment of wearing the humakey costume
"It was probably just me" He mumbled exiting the room
Madell's hand reaching out for him was the first thing he saw the moment the door opened
"All done?" She asked which Mandell nodded to before taking her hand
They walk at the silent street for minutes before arriving to a place not so far from the healer house
Hut made from straws tangled together, and fences made from stick and wood, it looks like Mandell was back to stone era
"Don't be nervous, you'll make friends here child" Madell tried to comfort the kid at her side
'I'm not nervous' Mandell pondered taking a step closer to the hut
Inside the hut humakey's with height comparable to Madell was talking to each other,
Noise was made by children's voice mixing with each other, there's no deep voice, it just like a group of people who just inhaled helium was having a chat
'chipmunk' Mandell thought ,
"Ahem, be quite kids your embarrassing your teacher" A humakey who made everyone present looks like a child including Madell
She's tall that the roof could reach her if she just tiptoe and..she looks familiar
Meeting eyes with Mandell, the humakey smiled
"Maddy!, look at the children, they already know you more than the teacher that's with them" Senna said before showing her nail off and saying
"and nice to see you again, Cutie"
"Can I leave?" Madell asked
"Yes, but you sure your not gonna wait for your children, she might get lost" Senna asked but Madell decision stayed the same
"She need to learn, do you want me to stay here child?" Madell asked
"I'm okay, I want to try going home alone" Mandell said with a smile
"Then I'll take my leave"
"I thought you'll be different with how you treat the human" Senna said her thought aloud before clasping her hand
"Ahem now children"
She took Mandell's hand and pull the child over to her side
"This is Mandell and she's gonna be your new friend"
She look at mandell's reaction, she thought the child would be nervous but she looks surprisingly calm
"How about you introduce yourself"
His stiff body moved, mandell raised his hand and wave it trembling, his mouth opened as his eyes searched the whole room
Some of the humakey's was talking with each other without care to the one who's standing, who's suppose to be the one at the center of attention
But there's still humakey's who is watching Mandell, almost half of them was sitting at the ground silently staring at him
Mandell gulped his saliva before saying a word
"Hel..hello, kid- umm friends, my name is Mandell" He smiled at them
One of the kids raised her hand and asked
"Why do you have two face?"
Hearing the child's question those who was chatting stopped to take a look
"She's right"
"creepy"
Mandell thought for a minute before finally knowing why the kids thought of that
The humakey costume he was wearing had a face...made with crystal of some sort, it just got shiny eyes so no humakey's at the healer house thought of it as he's face but the one in front of him now is kids
" this" He looked at Senna and the humakey gently pushed him closer with the others,
"You can tell them" She said
Seeing her and Madell talking like their close, they might know each other, and not like he could hide what he is a secret, only kids would get fooled by this costume
He slip the hood down and said
"It was just part of the cloth"
