Coming back home was nerve-wracking.
Serina called me to come, saying that my ability will be needed and that in a few days Fynn and his group will come to visit us.
The idea of spending a few days with Fynn and his goons was thrilling; not in a good way. I have nothing against them, but the way they all gape at Serina gives me goosebumps.
There is nothing wrong with Serina. She is an attractive woman, but I see her more like an elder sister, a mother figure, and there is nothing sexual about it.
Part of me wished that Luca called me to return, but I guessed that after all the things that happened between us, I deserved this silent treatment.
I thought that separation from Zoe and Luca will allow me to clear my head and move on, but now that I was about to meet with them again, I realized that I was far from moving on. Time and space didn't help. If I want to fix this, I will need to face them head-on.
