A young boy seemingly 8 years old can be seen running through a forest of purple trees.
He has dark black hair with some hints of silver and mesmerising blue eyes. He stood 4.6 ft tall and has a lithe body with some baby fat still present on his face. This is obviously Ye Jin. He arrived at a village and proceeded to the centre towards the Village head's house.
The last 4 months had been a blur of cultivation and training in his Shadow Monarch abilities. He still hasn't aquired any shadows but has plans to acquire some during his spirit ring hunt.
Due to the training, he was taller than the average 6 year old. He also gained the ability to control the fire element. He still cannot generate his own fire, but he can control others' to some extent.
He trained in dual wielding short swords incase he was unable to access his spirits and spirit abilities. He bought a pair of short swords from the store. They were incredibly expensive but worth it.

He finally reached his house. He knocked and called out, "Grandfather, Grandmother, I'm home!"
Soon enough the door opened to reveal an elderly woman with more white hair than black.
"You're back Xiao Jin! Your grandfather is out preparing for the awakening at the Spirit Hall branch. He will come to get you soon. Are you excited for your big day?!"
"Yes grandmother, although I'm a little nervous, I can't wait to see what my spirit is!" He had only specified what innate abilities his spirits must have and not what they will be. So he was excited and nervous. Hoping he didn't get anything embarrassing.
Suddenly, there came a voice from outside, "Dong'er, Xiao Jin I'm back! Let's go little Jin it's time."
"Dear, it seems Xiao Jin is nervous about the awakening." said Xia Dong-mei.
"Ah, little Jin there is no need to be afraid, no matter what spirit you awaken, we will still love and cherish you!" said Ye Zhen.
Ye Jin was overcome with emotion since he never felt this loved in his past life. He rushed to hug both of them and said, "Thank you , I love you both!"
""We love you too little Jin."" they both said together.
"Come on, we will be late to the awakening if you delay any longer" said Ye Zhen.
"Coming! Bye grandmother, we will be back soon!"
"Bye, you two."
The grandfather-grandson pair hurried off with a couple of children ready for the awakening to the Spirit Hall Branch nearby the village. Since this branch was close to two more villages, all of the children from these 3 villages came here for the ceremony. Due to this there were many children crowding around the branch.
Just as they had reached, a middle aged man clad in spirit hall uniform called out, "Alright we will be starting, please form a line and you will be called one by one for the awakening."
Nervous whispering started all around. All of the children hoped to awaken a useful spirit and sufficient spirit power. One by one they were called and had their spirits revealed.
Finally it was Ye Jin's turn.
